A member of the White House review panel on NSA surveillance said he was absolutely surprised when he discovered the agencys lack of evidence that the bulk collection of telephone call records had thwarted any terrorist attacks.
It was, Huh, hello? What are we doing here? said Geoffrey Stone, a University of Chicago law professor, in an interview with NBC News. The results were very thin.
While Stone said the mass collection of telephone call records was a logical program from the NSAs perspective, one question the White House panel was seeking to answer was whether it had actually stopped any [terror attacks] that might have been really big.
We found none, said Stone.
-snip-
The panels findings echoed that of U.S. Judge Richard Leon, who in a ruling this week found the bulk collection program to be unconstitutional. Leon said that government officials were unable to cite a single instance in which analysis of the NSAs bulk collection metadata collection actually stopped an imminent attack, or otherwise aided the Government in achieving any objective that was time-sensitive in nature....

Well, it might have stopped a terrorist attack or two if that was what they were really looking for. But it’s not.
The bast*** got caught. Goes against everything the Constitution stands for.
The only attacks they’ve stopped are the idiots dumb enough to buy fake explosives from them.
Our intel agencies are designed to keep an eye on us primarily and everyone else secondarily.

That’s because the White House chased them all away...
Impeachment File for the 2014 Impeachment of B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, a documented legal citizen of the Sovereign Nation of Indonesia.
________
Documentation File for the 2014 Impeachment of John Boehner for Dereliction of Congressional Duty by Speaker Boehner for failure to appoint a Special NSA Investigator.
The only phone call they needed to listen to is the one the Russians made to the..... Administration about the Boston Brothers.
No N.S.A. needed.
Image that!
That was NEVER the goal.
It is to destroy America, its Constitution
and American FREEDOM for al Qaeda and America’s enemies.
WHY WERE THE BOSTON TERRORISTS IGNORED AND ALLOWED
IN WITHOUT PASSPORTS??????
same reason the Benghazi Atrocity is ignored.
it is a word that begins with “t”.
For a minute I thought it said “TSA” ... and I was about to agree with that, too!
I think the time has come to let it go.
Indeed. And they flat out lied to congress, claiming they stopped about fifty attempted terrorist attacks over the years due to their spying on all of us.
Exactly! Only Peter King still believes those fabrications (& even he isn't that stupid).
Don't you just want to wake up and it's America again and this was all a nightmare?
You noticed that too, eh? I looked at the posted picture of the alleged 'terrorist', and he actually looks like someone with a barely room-temp IQ, let alone a wannabe terrorist plotter. Or a muzzie.
But I repeat Myself...
The NSA hasn’t stopped any terrorist attacks because they weren’t targeting terrorists. The NSA, like the IRS, Obama Admin, etc are targeting Americans. I hate those bastards.
Well, maybe they can figure out who got our credit cards at Target, then.
My guess is Russian mob. Just their cuppa', based upon what history has shown.
The NSA did their job in the Benghazi affair, but it was Obama, Hillary and Jarrett who put the skids on the attack by not following through with the information provided to them by the NSA.
Actually, after thinking more about it it rather sounds like what the BATF(ools) were doing illegally to make arrests if it turns out the way it appears so far. Find some mentally challenged individual and set him up. He (or she) agrees to do something illegal to help the government people and is extremely mystified when he is promptly arrested and charged after carrying out the action.
I hope Snowden smashes That Foreign Country known as the US Intel community into 1,000 pieces. Their oaths mean nothing to them.
The Founders never would have approved of this.
