What's young, clueless and provided the margin of victory for Obama in 2008 and 2012?
Who has been hit hardest by the president's perpetual-recession machine? Who will be devastated by ObamaCare and a burgeoning National Debt?
Finally, what group will still vote in droves for the Marxists masquerading as Democrats in 2014? Answer to all of the above: Millennials.
Politically, the term "Millennial" is applied to voters 18 to-29-years-old.
Obama was reelected with 51% of the popular vote. At the same time, 60% of Millennials voted to continue Obama's abuse of the economy, Constitution and middle class. What part of "bitter-clingers," you-didn't-build-that and "we can't wait for Congress to act" did they not understand?
Now, Millennials get to lie in the bed they've made. They are leery of ObamaCare but reelected its architect. Did they ever consider the consequences of beginning to nationalize 14% of the U.S. economy and giving bureaucrats the power of life and death?
I doubt Millennial discontent with Obama will have much of an impact on the 2014 elections. The president won't be on the ballot next year. Democratic strategists will stampede the sheep back to the blue corral by telling them: Republicans are haters. Republicans won't let your gay friends marry. Republicans will stop you from doing whatever it is you're doing in your bedroom. Republicans are tools of the rich.
But Millennials aren't totally in the dark. According to an NBC News survey, 59% of 18 to -29-year-olds think that life will be harder for them than their parents. Only 19% think it will be easier.
No kidding. As they exited the voting booth in 2008 and 2012, Millennials should have affixed a "Kick me" sign to their unemployed posteriors.

Actually it would take a shift of only about 10% of his non minority base to cause a huge defeat for the Democrats. Believe that has happened.
The voting age should be raised to 30.
My son voted for Obama in 2008 when he was 27. Now that he’s 33 with a wife and kid and a dead end job that doesn’t pay squat, he’s suddenly discovering the enormous error he made with that vote.
It’s all I can do, to keep from saying, “I told you so”, when we talk.

Yep. It’s tough not to, but being constructive would be better.
Sounds like he might be ripe for some constructive reinforcement.
Start with emailing him a link to freerepublic.com, explaining it’s an interesting source for an alternative view of the universe by free-thinkers.
And then follow up with links to well-written articles about subjects he might be interested in. Perhaps a slow, subtle education might help change his way of thinking.

My son worked every day with me for five years, and listened to conservative talk radio the whole time. Sometimes I'd show up to a job he was running solo, and he'd have Rush on the job site radio.
He knew better, but after I moved the rest of the family to Texas in late 2005, he kind of fell back in with his old crowd. It was that influence that caused him to backslide and vote for The One.
You can't believe how stupid he feels about that vote now. He's already turned off the mainstream media, and has gone back to listening to El Rushbo. Now he's talking about getting his young family out of California. The wife and I are going to help them escape :-)
Piss on them. They sold this country down the river, let them drown in it.
One word North Korea.
“....59% of 18 to -29-year-olds think that life will be harder for them than their parents.”
They may say this in response to a poll query, but I strongly believe that they think 0bama is the answer to this sorry state of affairs. IMO they do not see 0bama as the (at least partial) cause.
lol
Many were deceived by this POSOTUS. Many still are.
And king BOZer0 doesn’t give a rats patootie about them either but he sure did bamboozle them out of their votes.
Yes Kitty—Dear Leader gets Hawaii Christmas taxpayer paid vacays while millenials get cold basement dwellings with un or under employment. Like NK the marxist elites get to live large off the backs of their ‘loyal’ worker bees and adoring sub-servants.

Zerocare may have dear leader name on it, but he didn’t build it....
They keep referring to the millennials, but the Gen Xers are every bit as guilty and, having known plenty of them personally, they have not changed their mindset or habits from their younger days.
