Which came first? The affairs with secretaries or this Eleanor/Hick *relationship*?
Those are some seriously sensible shoes.
They look like PeeWee Herman and Sam Kinison in drag.
I will try to be devil’s advocate. That would be kiss on cheek huh?
People wrote like that a lot back then, could very easily be nothing gay about it. Of course this woman wasn’t family or anything but if she was a childhood friend or something it might make sense.
thought waves because she was a wierd hippy before hippies were made
Possibly but the first one posted could be entirely something else.
Did it say they had sex?
Do not think said they had sex.
Thanks amihow,So what’s the big deal?
An old priest told me never write,he was right.
The big deal is people say that they were lovers.
Homo’s say they were lovers.Thanks.
I know, I know, it isn’t very nice to speak ill of others, especially if they can’t respond.. However, in real time, no one listened to me as a suppressed adolescent.. Now as I venture into my second childhood, I feel compelled to speak out, because true history, as it does repeat itself..
History is the greatest tool in preventing the repeated failure in the future.. We may shortly be faced once again with these same lessons that brought us to where we are today..
“Those Who Fail to Learn from History Are Doomed to Repeat It”.. Winston Churchill .. LOL
carlo3b So it’s about you.
About me? Au contraire mon ami..
It’s about truth, something that we are in short supply of these days.. The Roosevelt Administration has been sheltered for eons, by the leftest historians and the leftist media.. I lived those days I wrote about, and I am reporting the facts, not as they were reported, but as they were.. Not unlike today..
If you read my piece, aside from the snark, every word was fact, and it wasn’t how the lives of those two were being displayed in real time.. I dare say very few that read anything about Ethel ever heard anything close to what I wrote, because they get their history from whitewashed leftwing history profs..
So, why did I write it..? To teach those who were interested enough to read the article, and get the rest of the story.. Ha!
Actually, heterosexuals are saying it too and that is the problem. We cannotvfathom just friendship.

That makes it difficult to communicate with people you don’t see in real life very often, or at all.
I’m not a fan of Eleanor Roosevelt, particularly, but I sympathize with her. If someone found a mystery cache that saved all my emails (and FReepmails), they’d find expressions of deep affection toward women who are very important in my life.
They’d also find a probably sinful interest in Tom Selleck, James Morrison, and the guy who played Lucius Malfoy. Then there’s my husband and ten children ...
I am not reading the letters.((((Hugs))))
