Exactly. And if the present Barbie were life-size she'd be 6 feet tall, weigh 100 pounds, have an 18" waist and be unable to menstruate...or walk. Surely there's some point between that and obesity, like maybe an athletic Barbie.

Absolutely, there is a middle ground. But when I was a kid, we never gave a thought to Barbie's size; I think, even at a young age, we had the sense to understand she was a TOY.
