They have already started laying brine for Sunday night. I expect a shutdown on Monday. And I’m planning to put the chooks in a dog crate in my garage during the upcoming single digit nights. I need to clear a path to my wheelbarrow to move them back and forth while in the crate. They seemed fine outside today but their water kept icing up so I had to change it out a few times. My big brave dogs, covered in thick fur, were ready to dash back into the house after 5 minutes each time I put them out.
