I think all atheist lie to themselves. They cannot prove nor disapprove in a creator. So to say there is no God is a choice and not a good one...an agnostic is more honest with himself. He says I don't know if there is or is not a God since I can prove neither but does leave way for there to be a God. He just finds no proof. Scripture says if one says in their heart is no god, he is a fool. But I don't think I remember any thing said of an agnostic...they leave room in there belief system that there might be, just that he has no proof...If an atheist really believed there is no God,he would not have to argue with anyone. He is sure and states so, so why would they argue. If you ask an athiest if they believe the earth has always existed as it does today, if they say ..yes..they are a fool as as far as our sciencetist know, gravity caused the earth to form X amount of millenium ago. If they believe it was caused by a big bang, they have no answer as to who or what caused the bang. They are really no fun to have a discussion with, they are what my dad would call, a know it all, and as such, has no room to learn. They in their arrogance know everything that there is to know.

An agnostic is open to the possiblility of God, just doesn't know...A good discussion can be had with them...not saying you could convince them, but at least they would be fine in a discussion...jmho.

Years ago, when our kids were small, we camped a lot. Up in the mountains, with a clear night, looking up in the heavens one cannot help but believe in a Creator. Its awesome to look at, just as truly looking at a beautiful flower. Misquitos suck...

According to "Webster's Seventh Tattered", agnostic means, "of or relating to the belief that the existence of any ultimate reality ( as God ) is unknown and probably unknowable." This seems to be a much firmer point of view than mere indecision.

Now, in Webster's Eleventh Collegiate, this is repeated, except it adds, with the qualification broadly ( italics in orig,) "one who is not commited to believing in the existence or nonexistence of God or a god". Love that "God or a god" ... sounds like Gog and Magog ! ... well, they are just acceding to the popular usage here, as they have, since the 1960's at least, counted themselves as recorders and not dictators of usage.

“Misquitos suck...”

Literally and figuratively.

If we could communicate with the mosquito, we would find that it contains within itself the flying center of the world. - FN
