KEYWORDS:
This is just the first step of a very slippery slope to a totally drugged up populace. Just what I need, another influence for the guy in the next road lane to be driving under. I think this is a DUMB DUMB INSANELY DUMB idea. Cuomo, who used marijuana as a teen and young man, is just trying to recapture some spotlight in "outlibbing" our new mayor DeBlahblah. It will start as a "noble" pain-alleviating law for people with chronic painful conditions. Suddenly there will be a huge increase in people "suffering" from such conditions. Then more and more idiots from the LetsAllBeStonedOutofOurMinds group will lobby for even more ways to legally get their irresponsible hands on pot. Any legislation prohibiting or regulating the use of marijuana will drop away and driving will become really hazardous as all the idiots under the influence, with their distorted perceptions, share the road with you. I predict more accidents and fatalities not only with driving, but with all heavy machine and hazardous material handling.

I have NEVER been a fan of Cuomo OR his stupid father. While at HUD, Andrew Cuomo was firmly in the "Let's Give Away the Store" mode, giving unbelievable amounts away to wastrels. He was directly involved in the subprime mortgage crisis, lobbied for and signed New York up as a haven for gay "marriages", made a fool of himself by limiting firearms and bullet cartridges to 7 bullets, and is a total libtard. Who knows who will run against him in the fall?

Great - you can smoke it at Cuomo’s planned NY State casinos.

Not a shock. They are desperate for tax dollars and will go the Colorado route. Will be interesting to watch the Lawsuit Capital of the Planet handle the deaths on the highway. They’ll find a way to quantify a DUI limit.

Not me, pal! I wouldn’t smoke anything-—cigarettes or dope.

The irony- NY state govt just banned e-cigs on state property.

I’m sure after NY state legalizes pot the pot dealers will suddenly discover they’ll be taxed to death and will then regret it being legalized.

I don't know. Colorado has quite a hefty tax and business is booming =>

Colorado’s Pot Shops Say They’ll Be Sold Out Any Day Now

Jan. 04, 2014

Prices have been steep—in some cases, stores were charging $50 or even $70 for one-eighth of an ounce of pot that cost medical marijuana users just $25 the day before—and taxes add on an extra 20% or so. Even so, sales have been brisk.

The two operational pot shops in Pueblo collectively sold $87,000 of marijuana on January 1, per the Pueblo Chieftain, and store owners say that if demand persists anywhere near the current high, they’ll be sold out in the very near future.

I remember 35-40 years ago some doctors were dispensing prescriptions for pills for any reason. You could tell the ones who did by the long line outside the door.

Take the time to think about your next flight out of New York, with a pilot that is flying high before he gets on the airplane.
