The Obama Legacy in Planetary Exploration
Space.com ^ | January 04, 2014 | Mark V. Sykes

It is frustrating, at a time when other nations are in ascendancy in space, that the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama seems committed to undermining the nation's own solar system exploration program.

The Obama administration cut NASA's planetary-sciences budget by 20 percent in 2013. It has taken the National Research Council's (NRC) recommendations for prioritizing planetary investments in bad economic times and turned those recommendations upside down. The administration continues to favor large, directed projects at the expense of programs and missions that are openly competed.

Our so called "science" president is doing everything in his power to destroy NASA and put America in the back of the bus for space exploration. Please read the article at the link.

Well, he carried Florida twice. Doesn’t seem to bother the state as a whole.

Interesting comments at the site. Aside from a few dyed in the wool Obamatans blaming republicans there seems to be a pretty diverse range of thought.

How deep into the Earth would one have to dig to bury a single stack of 100 dollar bills whose total value was 17 trillion dollars?

Clues:

1.) The thickness of all denominations of paper/rag US money is identical.
2.) The thickness of a 100 dollar bill is 0.0043 inches.
3.) Assume that there is no space between the 100 dollar bills.
4.) The maximum diameter of the Earth is 7,926.552786 miles.

Space.com is one of my favorite sites I go visit daily. They are died in the wool up Obama’s bum. For them to print this Op-ed shocked me. Someone dared criticize his majesty?? unheard of.

I have the site bookmarked for a daily read as well.

A while back they they published an editorial suggesting that there just might be something wrong science by consensus or peer review.

I’m 100% against capture of an asteroid and parking it in the null spot around the moon. Research should be spent in getting us back to the moon and robotic exploration of Titan, Ganymede and Enceladus.

Obama’s legacy in planetary exploration is that lunatic who wanted to use NASA as an outreach tool to Muslims.
