I installed a generator about 4 months ago .... VERY comforting feeling knowing I have conditioned gasoline at the ready and maybe 5 minutes of down-time before it all comes back up again.

Warming trend right now ... -9.9

Think I'll go out and practice my puttin' when the sun breaks through.

Warm your cockles on this picture of Oprah's vacation cottage...

It's not quite the White House, but for a few days, it will do for Michelle Antoinette. Sometimes you have to rough it just a bit.

in Fahrenheit; minus 11 is actually ‘43 below freezing’.

-11°F = -29.3°C

-11°C = 12.2°F

Its 2 am here in Wasilla Alaska, got up, was hungry, went outside to car in t shirt and just long thermal bottoms, with boots to get tablet out of car, temp was about 30f and never felt it.
Its all about acclimation to your climate, now if ypu put me in Orlando the next week or so when its over 75f I will get heat stroke, go figure.

Yes its unusually warm right now in Alaska, it was 41f above yesterday, snow is melting.

I wish my digital thermometer had a Kelvin scale mode, just for the illusion.

So its 3 degrees outside but will be 56 degrees in 4 days- an increase of 53 degrees over just 4 days!

Tell me again how a 2 degree increase over 100 years will kill us all?

It hit 27.4, so far, up here on Amelia Island at 6AM. Pretty cool but not a record by quite a bit. No snow of course, last time was in 89 and I would not care if it did not come back till I was dead.

It was almost 60 here night before last. Watched the temps fall over 60 degrees since then. Less than 24 hours.

I left for work in the snow yesterday at -8, thinking “I hope everybody else had enough sense to stay home so there won’t be any traffic.”

The coldest I’ve seen is -13; luckily there was not much wind it didn’t feel so bad. I’ve felt colder at 30 above and a brisk wind. I think the wind chill underestimates the cold.

You need to get out more.

-11 doesn’t happen a lot in New England....but it happens enough that we don’t get too excited.

It's a new and improved for of lysdexia ... I invert letters inadvertedly ... the M was supposed to be a W ...
WATERING system

For the life of me ... I can't see how my fat fingers could miss the W and just slide all the way down to M
