I believe you are right, I remember those days. Black people in the South really did have a lot of problems to deal with but most seemed to believe in overcoming problems, now far too many want to just get high and blame Whitey. Black men used to work at low paid jobs and still manage to somehow raise a family and see their children get an education that, however limited it may have been, far exceeded what so many are accomplishing today. It is much better to grow up to be an honest, hardworking, low paid contributing member of society than to become an ungrateful leech. One good concrete finisher is worth more than a million Al Sharpton followers. The same could be said for much of the white population also.
Are Blacks as dangerous in Canada as in the US? Where I live there are almost non existent. The ones I have seen are productive members of the community.
I’m currently visiting Halifax where my wife is, and driving around yesterday we drove through an area and she said it’s extremely dangerous as it’s a Black neighborhood, but I’ve never seen it.

Then why is Asia so poor ? Mexico has a much higher per capita GDP than China. Throw in Hong Kong and Taiwan as an aggregate and the Chinese diaspora is still poorer and always will be.
If you start arguing situationality then you have eliminated your own IQ argument.
Also American’s ethnic groupings are non representative samples, as you should know.

No. Black men who move here from other countries are just like anybody else. These were manufactured by Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society.” When he signed the Civil Right act with MLK standing right behind him he said, “We’ll have these niggers voting for us for the next hundred years.” If you’d studied LBJ you’d know he was a died-in-the-wool racist of the old hang-em-high school.
I remember Esther Rolle, with narrowed eyes and anger in her voice, attributing the mess the black family is in to slavery. I.e., husbands and wives would be separated at the owners’ whim. Ignoring a hundred years after the Civil War.
Low IQ, destructive homelife, peer pressure to not do well academically, violent lifestyle.
Not racism or school spending.
These children come to school with negative outlooks. When I insisted that one 4th grader sit in his seat and behave, he said, “My Momma told me Whitey would get me every time!” On rainy days he scratched his own arms with his scissors.
May God bless these children. Black parents are the ones needing some manners and positive attitudes to pass on to their children. The children know no better.
There’s more to national wealth that merely IQ. Of course the economic system, and political system too, contribute to wealth as well. At this time, the wealth of China is increasing rapidly, and this in only decades after some changes. Hong Kong is one of the richest places on Earth, and became so after barely 40 years. Compare that with anywhere in Africa. Furthermore, China has a continuous written history spanning thousands of years - who else can claim that accomplishment? Nobody. IQ isn’t everything, but it isn’t nothing, either.
I don’t think a lot of (white) people realize this sort of thing is rampant. In their current culture, wanting to achieve higher levels of education is met with “why? what, you think you’re better than us?”, even coming from a parent!!!! I can’t imagine growing up in an environment that surrounds you with such destructive messages. It is truly a generational problem. Misery truly loves company.
And how much of having a higher IQ relates to culture? It isn’t all genetics and slight variances on average do not even come close to explaining that *vast* differences in outcome. We’re ALL God’s children...I personally have a higher regard for a well spoken and educated black man, I can only imagine some of the BS taken to get there.
Okay...you’ve laid out the cause. Fatherlessness among young black males.
Now, the big question....what do we do about it? It’s not like we can go back and magically add a father to all those having problems today.
I heard one person say that the only solutions he saw was “kill ‘em all, put ‘em all in prison, or bring back slavery.” (Of course, that guy was a serious racist.)
They have fathers and they know exactly who their fathers are. The fact is, they are growing up to be just like their fathers.
It’s simple: they’re not working; not studying

I’m not claiming it’s *all* genetics. But I do claim that it isn’t “slight” variances of the averages. Read The Bell Curve, if you dare.

They have been trained to adopt a sense of entitlement, and a disdain for "white" education.
You can thank LBJ, the RATs, the Soviet Union, and all the "black leaders" you can think of, for this mess.
Phil Robertson was right. Black families were doing pretty well before the "Great Society" destroyed them.
Fine....but it still dangerous to generalize, it can negatively taint an opinion of somebody unfairly. Bell curves say nothing when it comes to an individual, of which I give (initially) the benefit of doubt.
Good inner-city teachers quickly learn to keep achievements secret, and praise good work quietly, individually. Don't even share it with the "parents." I haven't clicked to the article yet, but I've thought for a long time that the slum bunch believe learning and graduating is "acting white." They'll never get out of the slums if their culture demands and enforces ignorance. The biggest problem holding blacks down has a black face. I refuse to help in any way until this attitude changes.
White Regressives need to learn the fault isn't white people. It's not hard to see why Jesse Jagmo and Al Notsharpton demand what they do, it's self-interest for them. The same goes for the white Rat politicians who pander to them.
