David Cassidy, a former teen idol and star of the 1970s U.S. television series "The Partridge Family," was arrested in California on Friday night on suspicion of drunken driving — his third such arrest since 2010.
Cassidy, 63, was stopped on a road near Los Angeles International Airport after making a right turn on a red light in violation of a posted sign, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release.
After smelling alcohol coming from Cassidy's vehicle, an officer gave him a field sobriety test that showed a blood alcohol content of 0.19 percent, the patrol said. That level is more than twice the 0.08 legal limit for driving in California.
Cassidy was alone in the car, the patrol said.
Cassidy was charged in August with drunken driving in Schodack, N.Y., after initially being stopped for not dimming his headlights, authorities said at the time. He was arrested and convicted for drunken driving in Florida in 2010.
He needs our prayers, not our scorn.. :-(
I was absolutely head over heels in love with a little cutie from Texas. She seemed to feel the same way and we discussed marriage but never did say for sure.
After she went home and to her college, SWTS she wrote me every day, then they got slower and slower. Finally she told me she was marrying the guy she dropped as her fiance when she began to date me. I am sure if we had stayed in the same location that we would have been married and she would have been a great wife.
Recently I looked her up on facebook and she has really aged. On the other hand her husband actually looks better than he did when they were dating. They are both in their early 60s.
They had five children but lost one in some kind of accident at age 21. I know that had to tear them up.
Amen. I certainly am not without sin.
None of us has much time left on this earth. We should be praying for each other, not gossiping or making fun of others.

Those were the TV years, pre-drugs and booze. From what I briefly read, it was all downhill after the TV show ended. No mentions of other run-ins, rehab or violence. Just a lot of booze and 2 DUIs. The years haven’t been kind. Top pic he looks like a trashed-out meth head.

Loved the partridge family as a kid.
He reminds me of the pics of Glenn Campbell and Nick Nolte when they were hauled in on drug/DUI charges. Real sad to do that to yourself, when help is just a call away.
