"It's a step up from "servant," I guess."

I think maybe "giant, non-hostile, SUBSERVIENT cat" might be a little more accurate.....

RE: “Let me guess. You live in California.”

Oh, much worse than that.

Seattle.

Here's an amazing fact for you....

A few days ago I was doing some demographic research on voting in 2012, just for a comment at Free Republic.

Non-Hispanic whites in California voted 54%-43% for Romney!

Would you, or anyone else, have believed that without seeing it in print?

Here in Seattle about 75% of eligible voters are non-Hispanic whites.

In 2008, in Obama vs. McCain, Seattle voted 70%-28% for Obama!

A few months ago we elected our first openly Socialist city council person.

And SeaTac, which is the small town that includes our airport and a section of our port facilities, voted to implement a $15/hour minimum wage.

Regardless, this is still a very nice city, and quite safe if you avoid certain parts of town at night and areas around drinking establishments.

I will always be a Conservative, but I have slowly come around to the idea that any urban area in America that is mostly white and Asian will be prosperous and safe, even if it consistently votes Hard Left.

Which is why I’m reasonably okay with my son living in Boston. Actually he lives in Belmont about 1/2 mile from Romney’s home there.

My sister’s dog will stare at her empty water bowl willing it to be full. Like magic it always works.

Hunh. Maybe something to it. I much prefer male cats, as they seem more stable and appreciative of affection.

And the other way around for dogs.
