There are many wives who lock their hubbies out.

Those wives are being wicked.

"Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency."

1Cor 7:1-5 KJV

Based on my personal experience and that of my sons:

1. Being Ignored - Crap. Ignore them and they will call/text you to death. Pay attention to them and you are smothering them.

2. The Wannabe Big Shot - Semi-crap. If they find out that you are a manager of a Radio Shack, you are done. Saying that you are an Electronics Consultant for a Fortune 500 Company gets you to date two.

3. Self-Admiration. True - You must talk about them, only them, and allow them to talk about themselves ad nauseum.

4. Preoccupation with Sex. Crap - Updated by my sons, who were raised right. Girls/women of today are highly aggressive sexually and want what they want when they want it. The problem comes when the guy wants some and the girl/woman doesn’t. Suddenly, all he is interested in is sex.

5. Chauvinism - True. Although the definition of “chauvinism” changes from woman to woman and the man has no idea where her line is until he has already crossed it.

6. Expecting the Woman to Take Care of the Kids - Unmitigated Crap. Many, many women not only don’t want to work, they want someone who will earn so much they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. For some that includes being a stay at home mom. Some want to be married to a golden parachute that will financially rescue them from whatever entrepreneurial debacle they get themselves into - be it a consignment boutique, a catering company, the latest multi-level marketing opportunity...

7. Paying too Much Attention to Other Women - Semi-crap. You should never notice another woman when with your woman EXCEPT when they ask your opinion about another woman’s appearance. You can try the “I didn’t even notice her” but a persistent woman will not let you get away with that. Saying that your woman is more attractive is also not accepted, especially if she thinks otherwise. There is no good answer to this situation. It is best to fall to the floor with a fake heart attack or seizure.

8. The Not-So-Courteous Approach - True. Don’t be rude.

9. Poor Grooming Habits - Crap. Women will put up with much, especially if the man is rich, famous or both. Besides, they think, I can always change him.

10. Bad Pick-Up Lines - Mostly Crap. Just walking up and saying “Hi” will get you a cold shoulder from many of today’s women. They expect to be entertained from the get go, so a funny opening line is a must. A line that a woman considers to be not clever or funny is, by definition, a “Bad Pick-Up Line.”

I don’t really mean “tell me about it”...I should have said “you got that right.”;-)

A friend from college who was very smart vis-a-vis women told me a lesson I have never forgotten.

He said "ultimately, the women control the pickup process. Watch for them to give you a signal and then and only then approach them." The signal might be a demure glance or even a slight smile...something barely noticeable (they require plausible deniability).

The women on this thread might enlighten us on this.

Is that how guys think? Stop it!
I am a super friendly person (when I am not in recluse mode), and guys read into it way too much - unfortunately I get much unwanted attention.
We are here to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our Lord.

Heheh.

My old friend's point was that women basically control the process. They are choosing fathers for their children.

Men need to listen to the wisdom of women and introduce themselves when bidden to do so by said woman.

It kind of reverses the human experience but this is the way it is done in the bird world.

And my friend was very successful...and so was I following his advice.

Men like to lead when dancing...but women actually lead when choosing the right dance partner.

Charming I would say.

BTW, most men I know are abject failures at the mating game and are nothing but putty in the hands of the right woman.:-)

I think I learned something....

"Most women want to be caressed, fondled, complimented and otherwise shown affection and intimacy, even when their partners are not seeking sexual gratification."...

Although....it seems sort of weird. I'm always seeking....and I try to always do those things.

I'm so confused.............

Are you saying that you were very wicked.

I know I was before my rebirth...

I was a very bad boy.

Thx to the Holy Spirit...I am reformed.

Actually, I was being very very generous to Scarlet. She gives pretty women a bad name.

And Thank the Lord that the Holy Spirit has worked on both of us. Don’t know about you, but I could have wrecked.
