Assuming the 49ers win on Sunday, fans wanting to cheer on the Niners in the January 19th NFC Championship Game in Seattle will not be able to buy tickets through the Seahawks, as the team is restricting sales to only zip codes in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii, and parts of Canada. Tickets go on sale Monday, and California residents can still purchase tickets through the secondary ticket market like NFL Ticket Exchange, Stub Hub and others, or with a friend who has a credit card billed to an address in the Pacific Northwest.

What the Seahawks fail to realize is that Seattle has become the San Francisco of the North because of so many California transplants. They are already infested with 49er fans.
Yellow journalism. They are limiting ticket sales to the geographical area that the fan base lives in to discourage scalping. There are about 6,000 tickets available in a stadium that seats 68,000....I hardly think fear of 49er fans is a factor here, the policy would be the same no matter who played against Seattle.
There’s enough of a rivalry without liberal propaganda sheets trying to gin up more to help keep afloat.
Denver is doing the same thing.
Itis a little further and more costly flight from Boston to Denver than the flight from SF to Seattle.
It was pretty sad to hear all the cheering for SF at Carolina’s home stadium. What an embarrassment for the Panthers.
Then why is Denver limiting sales to their region?
I guess the Seahawks, after watching the San Francisco fans and citizens actions over the past years fear for their fans safety and are acting accordingly. I say good on them.
The Panthers just haven’t yet developed a loyal and boistrous fan base like you have in New Orleans and some other more established NFL cities. Also, their QB Cam Newton walking around with a towel on his head looking like some kind of Taliban when he is on the sidelines has not endeared himself to the fans.
Probably more like Ripple or MD 2020 ......
I don’t know, I haven’t seen anything on the Denver ticket sales.
Even uber-leftwingers in Seattle hate Californians.
A lot of the Uber Leftwingers in Seattle came from California. Maybe that’s why they hate them. They know them better than anyone.
