Ever dream of leading your country? You have the best chance of getting there with a major or advanced degree in economics, law, or politics.
An amazing map created and posted to the MapPorn subreddit by Reddit user mareyv takes a look at what the world leaders and heads of state studied for the highest degree they've earned...

Worth viewing the map. Some nations will surprise you.
And Obama studied “choom.”
Thanks for the link.
Since some may have trouble seeing the finer details (like I do), here is some HELP.
CTRL and the + key will make your screen one size larger. Repeat as necessary.
CTRL and the - key reduce the size, while CTRL and the 0 key set it back to NORMAL.
It’s not so much the course title they study, but what’s being taught and how it’s changed. I would imagine the law courses taught in Russia and the United States were a lot different during the 1950s. Different from each other, and radically different than they are now. Unfortunately, the American law courses have not changed for the better.
I don’t see history on that list. No wonder everything is such a mess.
It’s relevant that lawyers have dominated American politics almost from the Founding.
US ‘leaders’ SHOULD study the Constitution...we have far too much ‘law’ as it stands.
Lawyers, elected to Congress, to craft and pass laws that require MORE lawyers and judges (but I repeat myself) to twist and massage the law that requires Congress to write....

Didn't Obama study the Constitution? Now he knows what it takes to destroy it.
I think what’s hurt our country is all the recent presidents who have come from the Ivy League.
It’s also no surprise that business administration is the top dog in China. Long, long ago, maybe in the early 60s, a Chinese friend of mine referred to the Chinese people as “the Jews of the Orient”, meaning they excelled as merchants.
“I dont see history on that list. No wonder everything is such a mess.” — History is lumped in after Political Science.
Don’t forget in the US “law” is a graduate degree, and quite a few people who took a law degree had a history degree as an undergrad. Bush II did.
Interesting to learn that Britain shares with Australia ‘inderdisciplinary/aristocratic/general/unspecificed’ educations, as does Denmark with Norway.
Are you defending the long arm of the law into our executive branch? "History" in the Ivy League consists in denouncing Western Civilization and pretending that third world cultures are intellectually and morally equivalent.
At least the future king and queen of UK took their degrees in Art History.
I’d bet he would simply bloviate some talking points on HIS interpretation, never using The Founder’s notes, The Federalist Papers, etc. That != study; least of all knowing or understanding.
I mean, why JOB has he ever held that would show him how the real (biz) world worked?
Back to knowledge vs. wisdom. Bozo has neither
