Bada Bing! Chris Christie’s team accused of ‘mafia-esque’ rule over New Jersey

A former assistant county prosecutor from New Jersey is linking his 2010 firing with the traffic-jam scandal that’s engulfed Gov. Chris Christie, saying he was dismissed in a “mafia-esque” episode after securing an indictment against a sheriff loyal to the Republican governor, according to a report in MailOnline.

Bennett Barlyn, who served in central Jersey’s Hunterdon County, spoke to the publication amid revelations that members of Mr. Christie’s staff closed toll lanes from Fort Lee, N.J., to the George Washington Bridge for several days in September, perhaps as political payback to a Democratic mayor.

Mr. Barlyn obtained indictments against a county sheriff accused of hiring staff without proper vetting, giving a Christie donor a false law enforcement ID and forcing subordinates to sign loyalty oaths, the MailOnline report said.

Once the indictments were unsealed, he said, Christie’s deputy attorney general showed up to take over the prosecutor’s office. “It’s the same modus operandi,” he told MailOnline. “It’s the governor’s office again using a state agency in an improper way for political purposes.”

This crap is why we have a 2nd amendment. One may notice that the arrogance of government and it’s flouting of the rights of the people is directly displayed geograpicaly in the states and cities with the most restrictions on gun ownership.

What everybody including the media is not reporting is that this bridge is a big revenue generator for the city of Fort Lee. A reported $1 million a day. They went after controlling traffic because they as well as I suspect as their reason is; “There’s A Whole Lot Of Skimming Going On”.

Christie does look like a guy who would say “Leave the gun, take the cannoli”.

Christie is more like bass than soprano. I can’t wait for the fat “lady” to sing.

You are correct about Bridget. Will she squeal? Will she take the fifth? Will she get paid off? Will she end up in a land fill? Stay tuned!

I am sure the Bridget chick’s future is taken care of. She will either have another better paid state job after a “decent interval” - surely a well paid decent interval, or she will retire on newly acquired investments or perhaps she will just decide that the possibility of a longer life is preferable to that book deal.
