French First Lady Valerie Trierweiler took ‘one pill too many’ because the ‘cold and ruthless’ Francois Hollande wanted to dump her, it emerged tonight. While the 48-year-old did not want to commit suicide, she could not deal with details of the 59-year-old President’s deceit with another lover. By tomorrow Ms Trierweiler will have spent an entire week in hospital, yet the portly Socialist head of state has not visited her, instead sending ‘chocolates and flowers’.

Hells bells, any french 12 year old could have gotten enough to finish the job ya twit.
Note the suicidal lady took only ONE pill too many....if she was REALLY lovelorn, wouldn't the whole bottle been downed?
And HE sends her chocolates. I'm sure she appreciates the bon bons, especially after her stomach was undoubtedly pumped screamingly dry after being rushed to the hospital.
There couldn't be a more sophisticated, tres chic scandal unfolding even if the participants tried.

The French always seem to be among the world’s most miserable people.
Makes perfect sense. But we are talking about FRANCE, where their behavior is relatively normal. Or at least widely accepted. But for the prez to pull this on his live-in significant other is troubling even to the French.

the President didn’t marry her because his stated belief is that he does not believe in marriage. He never married the woman who gave birth to his children and I doubt he will condescend to marry his next lover.
Yeh, he prolly does not want to face the music.
In this scenario I’m finding it hard to gin up sympathy for any of the parties involved.
The current squeeze started seeing Hollande when he was still with his old squeeze of 30 years and 4 kids. If he’ll cheat on her he’ll cheat on you.
