Thank you so much...I truly appreciate the prayers. I know God will find a way to help me get this dealt with.
The owner of the transport - is this a bonded medical transportation company who can be trusted with your pain Rx?
He owns a taxi company and a medical transport company. He is also a pastor and a wonderful man that I think the world of! He would never do me wrong, I have complete faith in him that he would not allow my meds to disappear. HE is the only one outside of my family that is on my list that can pick them up for me.
Also, I cant help but wonder if this might be the same transport company you used for your trip to Augusta - where the driver ran off the road? If so, were you injured?
Not the same company. Personalized is the company my friend owns and the one I was scheduled with for the Augusta trip was "Angelflight" out of Fitzgerald GA. The only injury I have noticed is that my back and hip are throbbing terribly. I can't get comfortable to sleep no matter what I do and the pain meds aren't doing as well as normal to get my pain down to manageable. I'm rarely free from pain anyway, but after bouncing out of the ditch in a huge medical "lift" van, I now hurt much more and will TRUST less! I have notified the organization that schedules the rides that I do not want to ride with angelflight ever again.
Thank you sis...and BTW...THANK YOU so much for getting some popcorn from the boy!!
Oh! Thanks....I was going to tell you that it came yesterday and it’s yummy, as usual. I have to pace myself. It’s a huge bag. LOL!
I’m so glad you are enjoying it! ...and it’s wonderful that you got from the boy so he benefits in boyscouts for your order!
I hope that little bit helps somehow. Wish I could have done more. I’ll probably order more sometime, when I can afford it. :)
This type of thing happened to a friend of mine and the pharmacy needed the paper for the type of medication.
They used a cab from the doctor to the pharmacy and then she had the pharmacy cab it to her.
.
Tracy, that is just horrible about the Angelflight company - were you headed to a doctor in Augusta? Did they check you after such a near-accident? They really should be notified that the driver fell asleep - he could have killed everyone in his vehicle and/or others on the highway! They need to know that!
They don't just release it to anyone...I had to put him on a list of trusted people who could pick up my scripts and could be an emergency contact, plus other things...such as have access to my medical info and such. He only picks up my meds for me, and I'm blessed to have a friend such as him to help. I request his company for our transport which helps him as the org that schedules the trips stores the requests and that is used to determine which companies are used most when things are slow.

We were going to my son's appointment in Augusta. Our pick-up time was 5:30, he was late and got us to the appointment a few minutes late too. The driver lied and said he was trying to avoid an obstacle in the road, but I looked and there was nothing there, and there was a totally clear lane next to him that he could have shifted to also. They didn't check me out...but I made sure the organization that schedules the trips knows of his lack of driving skills...he also passed an ambulance which had it's emergency lights on...it was going the same way we were and our driver passed it (isn't that illegal?) He was speading 85 to 95 miles/hour, every time he hit a dip in the road, the lift van would bounce all over the place and that made me hurt so bad. I'm still having troubles with throbbing in my back and hip. It really hurts, and that is one of the bigger reasons I am so scared about not getting my pain meds filled...I know I'm going to hurt, I hurt daily, but the med helps a little.
That is also crazy that Cody had to go that far to a doctor - they don't have one that specializes for him in Savannah?
Thank you for keeping us informed. Prayers continue...
He was speeding 85 to 95 in a 55 mile per hour zone...
...the doctor he was going to see in Augusta is his Pediatric Rheumatologist. They have Rheumatologists closer, but not ones who specialize in pediatrics, and since Cody is still a minor, he has to see a pediatric doc.
That is crazy - he probably drives like that all the time- hard to imagine others haven’t complained.
I was soaking in my tub earlier and thinking about your situation. You mentioned your pharmacy is closed on Sunday, which made me think it must be a small locally owned pharmacy. (We had those in the small town where we used to live and I loved the personal service, even though prices were higher than Walmart/Sams...sadly) - anyway, You should talk to the pharmacist about letting you put your drugs on an account this month because you should get your check for the back disability payments within the month! If you explained what happened with losing the medicaid I’ll bet he would work with you! You’ve been there for awhile so he knows you and knows you need the meds. Often those small town places have accounts for local customers!
Praying, t.
BTTT
a ping for you my friend.
I will call and ask them this morning if they can do this for me. It’s a good idea, thank you for mentioning it!
Just got a notice in my email this morning...a very precious person has sent some help for me. It’s enough to get one or the other...the pain meds and a little bit towards the rest or the rest and a little bit towards the pain meds. I will keep the person’s identity to myself, but I sure hope they know how much this is appreciated. Under the circumstances...I will wait on the rest and use the funds to get the pain meds. I will ask the pharmacist if they can create a temporary account to help me with the others.
Call the medical companies maybe they can assist.
We now have a name for the attack that sent me to the hospital last Oct and again Aug 23 Colitis ileus. Slow motility with an obstruction, only treatment is a liquid diet and rest. And PAIN meds. Their motility drugs are not very effective. Had a reaction to Reglan broke out in a red rash back and chest that itched like hives and diarrhea. They did learn there is no infection in the GI tract.
Praise God for angels on this earth!
