Is he in jail now?
He was right.
And proved it.
Im not going to jail!, He’s RIGHT, He(his soul) is in Hell and his body is in the Morgue,
We’ll never know the details of this incident, but suffice it to say that these days if a cop demands you whistle dixie you do it, smiling and in any key he asks.
Since when is “window shopping” and scratching your privates a crime? I’m sure he was a good boy and aspiring rapper that had been in trouble in the past but was starting to turn his life around.
Of course, if he didn’t have a gun, knife or other weapon, it could be bad news for the officer, and Quanell X protests will ensue.
So...the guy was doing NOTHING wrong, and the HPD officer winds up shooting him dead.
Where’s a taser happy cop when you need one?
Where’s a taser happy cop when you need one?
Suuuuuure he did.
Stupid move on the dead guy’s part. There is nothing illegal about looking at bicycles in a window.
“So...the guy was doing NOTHING wrong, and the HPD officer winds up shooting him dead.”
Exactly what I was thinking. Defy a stasi officer these days and you end up dead.
“...Defy a stasi officer these days and you end up dead.”
*******************************************************************
And I guess that applies, as apparently in this case, when the officer is off-duty working an extra job.
we really don’t know if he was casing the store, or just looking inside.
prsonally i’d say both sides over-reacted and fed each others’ over-reactions. now one is dead and looking in a store window, without anything else, is not justifiable for a shooting.
i guess in 2014 don’t look inside a store’s windows with a cop/security guy who assumes you’re doing something wrong until proven otherwise.
good grief.
His career as a fortune teller ended way too quick.
It wasn’t looking in the store window that got him shot - if true, it’s that he charged the officer in the manner he did. I will wait for more info before passing judgement here.
So I suppose if a person goes grocery shopping and does a little price comparison, that`s also cause to be harassed? So let me ask the love your local "officer friendly" types who agree with this kind of jackbooted thuggery a question.
If just looking at bikes are just cause for harassment, what if you post signs that are pro-second amendment and "officer friendly" comes to your door and hassles you, then demands to see your guns for "verification of compliance" with the regime`s "laws", is that just cause?
Considering the rash of recent videos catching LEOs killing citizens and then lying about it, these situations have become suspect to me.
yes but the officer was the one who kept this going by chasing the guy in his car. for looking in the window.
i think that is excessive. he wasn’t a cop and doesn’t have the same powers or mission of a cop when he’s one store’s security guard. if the guywas going to run away he could have let him run away and if necessary reported it to on-duty police.
