Not too crazy about Brady, but I despise the Manning brothers. Vote Brady!
Brady!
Manning.
Jimmie Johnson? or Matt Kenseth?
Some people are just tough to beat. Manning for sure.
Brady.
Manning. For myriad reasons.
today’s games ...
Go Broncos!
Go Seahawks!
No real rooting interest in either team other than it could PO the east coast sports cabal if no east coast team is in the Super Bowl. Go West! ;o)
I’m not rooting for anyone but I am picking San Fran and Denver to win today.
But I’m lousy with my football picks so it will probably be Seattle vs. NE in the Super Bowl.
Never let politics interfere with entertainment, life is too short. Anyway Kerry probably has no idea who his regional team is. Meanwhile never bet against Belichick and Brady, they’re just too lethal a combination, especially going against Manning.
Tom Brady on the other hand appears to be a staunch conservative.
I’m taking the Broncos for the win, followed by the 49ers in an upset over the Seahags. I truly hate to root for a team from San Fransicko but plenty of friends and family are 49ers fans so I’ll go with their flow and cheer for the team without supporting their city.
On a separate but related note, I’ve always wondered why an NFL team doesn’t have 2 quarterbacks on the field, one taking the snap and the other - perhaps a running QB - available to get a pitch or handoff and have the ability to run or throw. It would force the defense to try to cover for a lot more options and would seem to provide an additional “out” for the primary quarterback if he’s getting pressured in the pocket. Simply dish the ball to the secondary QB and let him make the play. FReeper thoughts?
I liked the Broncos in the late 90’s with McCaffrey and company. Now .I would rather the Patriots win!!!!! America for the Patriots!!!!!
Denver, Denver, Denver!
I don’t remember too many games I’ve seen, but one I do is watching the Colts beat NE on their way to the superbowl. We were all in a bar in AC, celebrating my daughter’s 21st bday. The whole bar (except hubby) was rooting for Indy. It was great fun and a great victory, even hubby came over to our side by the end.
The team whose players have the most tattoos, the most illegitimate children, and who shack up outside marriage . . . the team that does the most taunting, trash-talking, showboating, hot-dogging, gyrating, and excessive celebrating--that's the team I root AGAINST.
Every team has lots of those guys like that these days, which is why I don't care so much about football (or basketball) anymore. But if there a few outstanding "good guys" on a team, and the rest of the team does less of the bad behavior, then I'll pull for that team.
anybody know Manning’s politics? Elway’s a Republican, as I understand.
Omaha!
WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!
HIP HIP HOORAYYYYY!
Good job Denver!!
Manning
