Today is the day many chose to remember and honor the work of Martin Luther King Jr. Mr. King inspired many to work for legal and societal change in a nonviolent way. I think if he were alive today, Mr. King would be called and Uncle Tom F$$%gt on Twitter. Many young people know he was of great benefit to the way race was perceived by both black and white, but most have either not been taught how he did it, or don't have respect for the methods used. Someone more attuned to today's world would be Malcolm X, a muslim convert who was fine with sponsoring a more violent reaction to the open racism of his day. I can easily imagine Piers Morgan interviewing someone like Malcolm. Waxing in prosaic, unctuous, tones, the tones of one who expects to lose everything and applaud the pillaging techniques of his tormentors.
I can imagine many people who should have their own day, and not just in politics either. What about you? In a serious or non-serious way. Who do you think has been overlooked or greatly misunderstood in reference to their value in American society.
Abraham Lincoln.

I disagree.
I think MLK would have been radicalized, just like every other Democrat politician from his era.
Just another day of the year when Americans celebrate the life of a well-known anti-capitalist. Obama’s birthday is another.
Barney Frank- Oct. 29th.
Dale Earnhardt April 29th.
December 21st should be Obama/Carter day as the darkest day of the year.
February 29 should be Tax day.
April 15 should be election day.
October 31 could be Helen Thomas day.
Yom Kippur should be focused on Debbie Wasserman-Shultz.
Freepathons should be for 10-15 minutes on January 2nd.
That’s all I got...
How about a Ronald Reagan day?
Now that would be a holiday worth celebrating
America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi! |
We need to celebrate the day Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton conquered Mt. Everest.
The other 364 are bo day.
Lenin (Earth Day).
Don't be surprised if a statue of Obama replaces it and the Martin Luther statue winds up in Luther's home town....where it belongs in the first place.
Agree. Why would MLK be any different than every other “civil rights” leader? Why do so many people lionize this adulterer, plagiarist, communist? Some people say “Oh, but he was a Republican!” But then, wasn’t Bloomberg too?
Of all the people that an ethnic group could choose as their “emblem”
MLK...or as he should be REALLY known Michael King, his true name....
is one of the worst.
A man who was a prolific adulterer, a “connoisseur” of white prostitutes, a communist sympathizer, a serial plagiarist and an advocate for the insane
theory that stealing money by force and giving it to black people, neither group having been remotely involved in slavery would somehow magically make every thing alright. You would be hard pressed to find a poorer specimen of humanity although there are a quite a few like Malcom X, Frank Marshall Davis and the current crop of garbage Jackson and Sharpton who are his equals in evil and depravity.
May 29, 1953. A mere 6 years after Hillary’s birth inspired him to climb Everest!
Ronald Reagan deserves an entire week. He was responsible for 30 years of prosperity we all enjoyed, IMHO.
You also have a day of yours.
Got MLK?
