There is nothing quite like chomping into a crisp rasher of smoked bacon.
But it seems one person was so desperate for the distinctive taste, they decided to smoke their own - outside the window of their flat.
Joint upon joint of streaky pork has been spotted hanging from the windows of a third floor apartment in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.
It is uncertain whether the bacon lover had considered the effects that China's notorious smog would have on the joints of drying meat.
Or perhaps he was trying out his own unique smoking technique by using the smoky atmosphere to give it an edgy flavour.
The layers of hanging bacon curtained all the windows of the apartment......

I’ve been to Wuhan.
The snow was black from smog. The apartment buildings were in disrepair — all of them.
I saw an 80 year old man pulling a fruit cart, blocking traffic for our Mercedes. Haves and have-nots indeed.
Going to an economic zone, we drove down streets that were lined with “huts” that had corrugated steel on 3 sides and the roof. The 4th side, facing the street didn’t exist. People were black with soot from whatever substance they used to make a fire for heat.
Every socialist in this country should be forced to go to these places and see how good we have it. Then, they should sit in on meetings with government officials seeking to wield their power and extort bribes while their concubines sip tea in another room.

I think Americans would be surprised what doesn’t get refrigerated in Asia and Europe
They will simply refuse to see it and convince themselves that their way is better.
Yum! I love the “Heavy Metal Flavored” bacon. It’s better than that maple crap.
