I guess I did not express myself very well earlier. I apologize for that.

When I was a boy, the farmer next door had barn cats. Lots of them. They kept the rats and mice down. It was Western Michigan on the Lake and there were a lot of dogs at the end of Summer that vacationers left behind. They ran in packs. Some of them would come around the farm and go after the cats. The cats were good farm workers and the dogs, useless scavengers.

I got pretty good at picking off the dogs with my single shot .22. I’d flip them over the fence into the pig pen and they served a useful purpose.

Today, I regard predatory dogs as vermin.

LOL

Yes I’m laughing AT you.

Consider it a sign of my complete and utter lack of respect for your kind.

From what I have read of your posts, I’ve found you to be intelligent and kind.
I’m very surprised at your comment.

I’m sorry, but I won’t ‘stand down’ when a thread brings out all the little Dahmers gloating about their dogs torturing and killing cats.

You're a lying piece of trash. I simply stated that my dogs have no experience with cats and would treat them as they would any other rodent.

Nobody is more abusive of animals that you utopian clowns who anthropomorphize them into little people who can be reasoned with.

Oh, I beg your pardon. I thought you were objecting to cripplecreek’s (courtesy ping) picture of his dog killing a cat.

However, I could easily see that it was not a cat, but rather some large rodent.

You escalated after that, still saying “if it is a cat...,” and a little maelstrom ensued.

I thought I was just pouring oil on troubled waters, but if I upset you further, I am sorry.

There aren’t many cats in my little town. Lots of dogs but its rare to see one wandering. I’ve got a fenced yard so my pooches have a half acre of running room.

My part time neighbor had a cat but he took it back to his girlfriend’s apartment after I caught it in a live trap a couple of times. With all the coyotes, foxes, coons etc around here, its probably not wise to let an indoor raised cat wander anyway.

Yer plainly an evil, evil man.

And you left out “beloved.” Someone’s beloved pet canary...

I notice that you feed the tortured possum before releasing it.

I’d say more, but I’m laughing too hard.

Oh, they’re precious. I love your Corgi! My late sister had two JRs. The female, Belle, kept
her back yard critter free. She is about the size of your boy.

But I think that her other “JR,” Wyatt, may be a mix of some sort, since he weighs about 45
pounds. I didn’t know at the time how big JRs were, but I have since learned that they are
quite small compared to Wyatt.

Her best friend took in her dogs when she passed away. We were grateful because the dogs
were used to seeing him and getting fed by him, so other than missing my sister, not much
else changed for them.
