The breakdown of this relationship is happening.
Since they always treated me well I’ll continue to treat them well.
.
Cops need the cooperation of the communities they police. The communities need cops.
The breakdown of this relationship is happening.
Lots of posters here seem to be working hard for this breadown.
It’s called the Nazification of America.
I was concerned that the video might be people shooting police dogs... which I’m sure the police would charge as murdering an officer.
And here I’ve gone close onto 40 years without a significantly negative interaction with the police.
“To protect (our pensions) and to serve (our unions).”
We do need some law enforcement but law enforcement with a lot of common sense. We do NOT need millions of frigging cops. What we need is for everyone to carry a firearm. Guns make for a politer society. When only criminal thugs and jack booted thugs with badges carry guns nobody has any respect for anyone else.
We need the laws we already have on the books to be enforced, lawyering made illegal with and again... Common sense.
Until our society learns to cherish life and begin to care about one another the way we used to there is no hope. Corrupt cops, more laws, ambulance chasers, unarmed citizens and rudeness will continue to be in large part the reason our nation completely collapses.
If you get pulled over, quickly find a safe spot to stop, turn your dome light on, and put both your hands on the steering wheel. Be very polite. You should be fine, I have done a total 180 on my attitude towards police.
You mean we’re going to wear guns and radios and patrol their homes to keep them and their families safe? Come running when they’re in trouble and they call us? Maybe we can track the crime in their neighborhoods by computer to give them a safer community? No?
Bump
Cops are nothing but thugs and trouble makers and they are getting MUCH worse!
Why do cops hate cameras so much?
Lived on two different islands and counties, so think it would have garnered some attention somewhere along the line.
No great fan of cops in general, but false accusations are bogus. There is enough real stuff to nail them on.
Cops sure hate the dreaded video camera because they are criminals that don’t want to get caught and lose that pension and job!
Despite what all the "cop haters" on FR say, I am known as the self appointed neighborhood watchman for our street. I am outside most of the day and have asked the local PD to STOP at STOP signs if they want to write tickets for running STOP signs.
When asked what I meant by that, I told them to wait a few days. Within a week I had videos of several different local LEO vehicles running the STOP sign at the end of our street. I told him, videos don't lie. The PD chief had no further comments.
You mean give em a hickory stick shampoo ?
They ain’t all bad and most times it’s our response toward them that escalates their behavior.
Sadly, dogs know nothing about tempering themselves.
And has been happening for decades.
I did a 30 minute radio interview show with the (then) Superintendent of the Delaware State Police. At the start of the program I owned up to the fact my kid brother was a rookie on NYPD and both my father and grandfather were also retired from NYPD. My first question to the Super was "Why are cops no longer looked at in the manner of that old Saturday Evening Post cover of the cop and kid at the counter with ice cream?"
That was 1984.
