I heard that the Captain had no idea until he was served with papers. Sad after all those years but no one knows but them what truly happened... and maybe only one of them.

At 73 years old, I’d think that Toni would welcome The Captian’s tremors...at the appropriate time.

Why would anyone want to get married? About half of all marriages end in divorce. The rest end in DEATH!!!

It may have to do with protecting assets. The Captain has Parkinson’s. He’ll qualify for a lot more assistance if all their assets are in her name completely unattached to him. Otherwise, they’ll bled dry and there’ll be nothing left for her assuming she outlives him by 10 to 15 years.

I thought love was supposed to "keep them together" (as the title of one of their songs.)
Does he get to keep the hideous cap of his?

Hell qualify for a lot more assistance if all their assets are in her name completely unattached to him. Good insight on your part.

I have the same feeling I had when Buddy Ebsen filed to divorce his wife of forty-odd years at age 78.
WHY????
I mean, really, if you’ve made it THIS far...
