If this was her decision I hope it's not one of those “I'm not growing” deals.Doing it for financial reasons might make sense...particularly if one of the pair has a potentially chronic, debilitating medical condition.

Tv in the 70s was completely insane, TV today is evil. The cop shows are all dishonest; the sit-coms all promote faggotry.

You’re not the only one advancing that theory...according to TMZ (yeah, consider the source), the divorce papers specifically mention The Captain’s medical condition. Rather odd, since she filed and once she’s a “free woman,” she won’t have any obligation for his care.
Sounds like the start of the Medicaid shuffle...he will need long-term custodial care in the near future; Medicare Part A won’t cover, and they have too many assets to qualify for Medicaid. So, they get divorced, she claims all the assets, and he becomes “poor enough” for Medicaid.
Happens every day.

She and the Captain are both former Beach Boys, although they weren’t in the band at the same time.

Toni Tenille also provided some backing vocals on Pink Floyd's The Wall.

It may have to do with protecting assets. The Captain has Parkinsons. Hell qualify for a lot more assistance if all their assets are in her name completely unattached to him. Otherwise, theyll bled dry and therell be nothing left for her assuming she outlives him by 10 to 15 years.I think that's exactly what it is. I think The Captain is trying to put on an act, to be more convincing about it.
Can't say I blame them if that's the case.

Better than the "solution" several older couples in my area decided upon? They opted for joint suicide after splurging one last year!
Obviously, their solution was in the interest of their heirs and fellow taxpayers so, you can personally debate the options (and pray you are not presented with the ultimate choice....!)

Years ago, her Dad was my Optometrist.....his office was such a shrine to her that it was downright spooky and eerie.
I finally smartened up and started letting a real doctor - Opthalmologist - handle my eye care; especially since the cost is virtually identical.
