On the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, CNNs senior legal analyst smeared the entire pro-life movement in saying on Wednesdays AC360 Later, They want women to have no control over their own bodies.
Jeff Toobin was referring to the Texas case where a hospital, claiming that it is following state law, has kept a brain-dead woman on life support against the familys wishes in order to bring her unborn child to term. Toobin went on a rant against the law: [Video below the break. Audio here.]
This is the logical extension of what the anti-abortion woman movement wants. They want women to have no control over their own bodies. They want the Texas legislature to decide whether this woman has to carry this baby to term, even though shes dead. It is a repulsive abrogation of womens autonomy. This is an anti-woman law. Toobin added later that Texas, as a low-tax state, low-service state, wont care for the child:
Can I also just raise one other point here is that this child clearly now, if its born, will suffer from horrendous financial medical condition, which the Texas state has no interest in taking care of, because Texas is a low-tax state, low-service state. All they care about is forcing women to deliver babies that they dont want, but they have no interest in taking care of those children once they are actually born. And I think thats a relevant factor in this debate.
Toobin wouldnt give any evidence to back up his claim. Meanwhile, attorney Mark Geragos also chimed in that Texas is a low-legislative IQ state. Such is the liberal elitism that calls AC360 Later its home.
Below is a partial transcript of the segment:

JEFFREY TOOBIN, CNN senior legal analyst: This is a political issue.
(Crosstalk)
NAVARRO: I dont agree with that. And the reason I dont agree with that is because I lived in Florida through the Terri Schiavo case. And that became a very political case, with politicians, even on the federal level, weighing in and taking action. Correct me if Im wrong, but I have not seen any political involvement as this case moves
(Crosstalk)
GERAGOS: The law is totally politically driven. The law was designed this is nothing but a Trojan horse for the abortion
(Crosstalk)
HOSTIN: We dont know that, Mark.
TOOBIN: Of course we know that, Sunny.
GERAGOS: We do know that! The very example Ana just gave was the abortion example, and thats the only one that you jumped in to agree with.
(Crosstalk)
NAVARRO: If I was pregnant with a baby that I thought might be able to survive and I was in this condition, I probably would want the baby to be able to survive.
(Crosstalk)
HOSTIN: I think 99 percent of women would want the baby.

TOOBIN: Can I also just raise one other point here is that this child clearly now, if its born, will suffer from horrendous financial medical condition, which the Texas state has no interest in taking care of, because Texas is a low-tax state, low-service state. All they care about is forcing women to deliver babies that they dont want, but they have no interest in taking care of those children once they are actually born. And I think thats a relevant factor in this debate.
GERAGOS: Thats because theyre also a low-legislative IQ state.
I find the timing of that article about CNN and abortion a little suspicious. This is because I just saw another CNN-related thread in FR.
Stunning: Nobody is Watching CNN
Both CNN-related articles make me question if CNN is creating controversy concerning abortion to try to boost its ratings.
If ye cain’t kill yer own offspring ye jest ain’t free!
Abortion lover want ALL babies aborted..I remember a time when people used to say “I dont care if I have a boy or a girl, as long as they are healthy” now you hear about people selectively aborting their babies based on their sex..when you hear about “Reproductive health” coming from the left, all that means is they want the right to kill their children..they view murdering babies as being “Patriotic” its sickening..I dont know how anyone can look at an ultra sound of their little baby and instead of wanting to see him/her brought into this world they want to kill them off
They want women to have no control over their own bodies.
If you do not have an intelligent arguement then fall back on this crap........
Exactly. They already made their choice now live with the outcome.
Except in the case of forcible rape, women have total control over their own participation in the activity that causes that inconvenient pregnancy. And even in the case of rape, why should an innocent party be killed because of the misbehavior of another?
Women do not OWN the baby inside them. It is a totally separate person. Women can do what they want with their own bodies, as long as that doesn’t result in the MURDER of an innocent, completely separate human being.
The baby is NOT part of their body!
CNN has no problems with the 55 million dead babies.
