The ones coming in high will get you every time. One killed a man locally on the way through the cab and knocked the topper off the bed.
I am always worried about deer. They are absolutely suicidal. While they usually commit suicide at night, I have even seen suicidal deer during the day. I’m not a hunter and never liked hunting much... but I’m also seeing that way too many deer are threatening human lives.
We live just south of the PA border. PA has the highest number of deer-vehicle collisions in the nation, over 100,000 per year (IIRC). I see dead deer on the road every day.
Remember the lady that was complaining about the deer congregating at the deer crossing signs? They just need to put up some mountain lion crossing signs. The deer will see those and go, “Crap! This is where all the mountain lions are! Let’s get the heck out of here and back into the trees!”
I say we kill them back...and eat them!
