I had a cat who, upon meeting a college roommate’s Irish Setter, immediately launched herself at his head, digging her claws in deeply. That dog wouldn’t go anywhere near my cat for the next 2 years! I felt sorry for it, as its owner couldn’t care less about it, just got it to show off the pretty red coat. She probably gave it away when she moved out, superficial little slut that she was.

My son’s cat (Boris RIP) was a long haired Norwegian Forest cat. At his prime he might have weighed 18 pounds. For a while my son lived with a large german shepherd and a Rottweiler. Those dogs could chew up the biggest kong in a day. Boris was the dominant animal. He went where he wanted to go and did what he wanted to do. The dogs stayed out of his way. If he jumped on a sofa and a dog was there, the dog slunk away. It was fun to watch. I never saw Boris attack them. He didn’t have to. He just stared. He was the Chuck Norris of cats. All dogs and cats who ever lived with him worshipped him.

"Years ago, I had a Dobie and a seal point Siamese..Cat loved to sit right in the middle of the doorway...the Dobie wouldn’t even LOOK at the cat..she turned her head away.."

LOL!

All I can figure is, cats don't understand they aren't tigers, and neither do other animals.

That makes me so angry. Then again, hopefully the dog ended up with a deserving owner who loved it.

I’m watching that and thinking of my own dogs....not that anybody would want to watch a YouTube of *that* event.

;D

We briefly had a cat last year.

When we introduced the male Dobe to it, the cat pulled the same kind of unwarranted stunt.

After I dragged the enraged dog out of the bathroom where it had the now terrified cat cornered, we could never allow them in the same room again.

The dog would have killed it with no remorse.

Rather than face the constant stress and inevitable murder, we gave the cat back to his breeder.

Poor doggy. I had a cat that used to do that to my dog. The cat would sit in the middle of the stairs and not allow the dog to go upstairs.
