I’d leave and find another employer.
was he buying?
I’d take your place.
I’m in for a few thousand Yuan.
Toss in a steak and a shrimp cocktail for good measure.
I can see a scenario where the “winners” all went home broke that night. Where a few of the “losers” simply “borrowed’ some Yuan from them and they were too stupid/drunk to notice.
“Id take your place.”
Because of foot pain, I managed to lose 30 pounds. I can now walk. The reason alcohol works is our body already makes it. Our body uses it for two purposes. It is a signaling device which says to the body, if you have any extra calories put them over the gut. (Beer belly.) It also makes our body super efficient at recovering calories from the food we eat. A slice of pizza and a beer is going to give you many more calories than just the pizza. Enjoy the job.
Must be a Union shop.
Sounds like he just wanted to get the girls tanked for a party.
Me too.
I could have retired.
Confucius say man who make workers drink for money get yen for more.
I once went to a Chinese wedding in Fuyong China.
The favorite beverage was wine and cola 50/50 mix and these tiny little shots(not much larger than a thimble) of what can only be called jet fuel.
Several hours into the reception, 90% of the Chinese men were completely wasted and the groom was passed out on 3 chairs. Me and my fellow guilo’s (cantonese for white ghosts/devils) were ask to do shots frequently. Watered down wine and thimbles of booze did not get any of us whitey’s drunk, despite how hard they tried.
My takeaway from that experience is that Chinese can’t hold their liquor. Not even a little.
I don’t see a lot of beer-bellied China-men. There must be some other explanation.
Ping.
Very limited experience with Japanese men indicates the same.
Been there... done that... Next?
