Yes Evil exists, but it doesn't show itself in such ways as those manufactured by people who WANT a story or attention to themselves or their cause.

Evil generally is deceptive and seductive often attractive....a counterfeit of what is real and or an impostor. Many times offering just enough truth to lure one in as in a trap.

These stories, as this one, have been written for years and always draw attention to those who are looking for supernatural encounters.

Evil exists, yes, but it generally doesn't reveal itself as something evil. That's why people get suckered into to the sensual and feely type of encounters. It plays on their desires to see the unseen world they imagine it to be.
