Loud, House-Shaking Booms – Even Horn/Trumpet Sounds – Persist in U. S. and Canada
Earthfiles ^ | 31JAN2014 | Linda Moulton Howe

Posted on 01/31/2014 8:08:06 PM PST by Jack Hydrazine

January 31, 2014 Milton, Vermont and Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Three years ago in January 2011, I produced my first Earthfiles news reports about mysterious, unexplained booms occasionally being reported in various parts of North America. Then a year later on January 18-19, 2012 , in addition to persistent, mysterious booms came reports of mysterious horn or trumpet sounds. I did my first interviews with American earwitnesses of highly strange trumpet sounds in Gallatin, Tennessee. The first was a retired real estate agent northeast of Nashville, who described for me the eerie chorus of trumpets that suddenly filled the air around her at NOON time as she was packing her car for a trip.

Fifteen hours later and 240 miles southwest, a Memphis newspaper deliveryman on his early morning route also reported what he called a “chorus of trumpets” while he was delivering papers. See interviews: Updated February 23, 2012 Earthfiles.

Both of those earwitnesses independently picked out on YouTube videos, the same, strange sound that was closest to what each had heard. Their selection was the Kiev, Ukraine, eerie, horn or trumpet sounds videotaped on August 11, 2011, for nearly 12 minutes from a balcony in Kiev. See Websites below.

As a reminder, here is a brief excerpt from that Kiev video, followed by new December 2013 interviews about eerie horn/trumpet sounds in Milton, Vermont, and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The trumpet and horn sounds seemed to disappear from reports in later 2012 through most of 2013. But that’s when so many loud and unexplained mysterious BOOMS were heard and reported to police, fire and Homeland Security around the United States and parts of Canada.

But in December 2013, I received more trumpet/horn reports from down-to-earth professional people in Milton, Vermont, and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I’m not sure of what it is, but my daughter and I went through several of the Youtube videos in an effort to identify the sound. I have to qualify this by saying that my family is musically inclined. Several play instruments, several sing, and my grandparents/great grandparents were instrument makers. One made violins, the other made organs and tuned pianos. A good ear is a common gift in many family members.

And no, we aren’t experts.

If YOU have a good ear, you can try it for yourself.

Some of the ‘horns’ sounded like tubas, some like trombones, having the same pitch and quality. Some sounded like bass fiddles or chellos. Additionally comparisons were made with various shofars. None of the shofars that we listened to, matched any of the sounds. The most close match we could find were those really long tube things that they have in the Alps. I forget the name of those. We looked up instrument sounds and compared them to the youtube videos.

In the end, we decided that if these videos aren’t fakes, then it sounds like God is causeing the heavenly orchestra to do some practicing :)

But really...check out those mountain horns!

I listened to a couple. They sound like a giant elevated train going around a bend — or a slowed down tape of a regular sized elevated.

It could be some of them are industrial/infrastructure sounds, but I’d bet on hoaxes, or alien invaders.

We're having a witch burning here next week.

We burn them just to stay warm. The young plump ones last a while and give of a lot of heat. The old crones go up in a puff of smoke.

I agree. Tonight on the Houston news there was a story about a Chubacabra that a guy is trying to trap not far from my house. They showed some good pictures of it and anyone who has ever seen a coyote with mange would recognize what it was.

Those are called Alpenhorns.

Seen in Ricola commercials.

You did it.

It's your fault.

Let me go find the chupacabra story and post it.

When will you people learn not to say that word to me?

it was -20 outside today up here, and I work outside with bare hands at that temperature, it’s not bad at all. I just wore flame retardant coveralls, a long sleeve shirt with a thermal shirt as my bottom layer, jogging pants and redwing boots lol.

Lewis and Clark reported hearing “Booms” like cannon fire in their journals while in the Rocky Mountains.

There you did it... I gotta drag out the chupacabra story... I should save this on the hard disk so I don’t have to type it every time, but it sometimes it gets better....

I was running a crew cutting pines for firewood at about 7K ft in northern New Mexico mountains, and we started early. Frijoles y kava was way before sunup. By military tactical twilight and before sunrise, we were on the mountain, cutting down trees, bucking logs, singing Monty Python songs...

A mist filled the hollow that we were working in, as it was early fall.

The elks were.... sexually frustrated....

Did I mention that my crew didn’t speak a word of english?

We took a break to sharpen blades, gas up, etc... and in the distance... an elk, a lonely, horny elk, bugled...

I cocked my head to one side as if to listen better, nodded my head sagely, and said “Chupacabra”.

We were scheduled to be off the mountain by 1500. We had all the wood cut and loaded by 1100.

Those guys never worked for me again.

It just dipped below 70F here today. I've been wandering out into the back yard in the dark, innocent (and dressed) as the day I was born to get rid of beer I rented earlier.

I suppose at -20C or F, that would be a bad idea...

Even Everett is supposed to go down to 19 at night next week.

I heard LMH on Coast to Coast last night with this. The recording I heard sounded like it could have natural explanations, having
to do with temperature changes, etc.

I am a great one for finding natural, obvious answers for things(Occams razor) For example, a few weeks ago I was in Downtown Seattle a d thought I heard black helicopters. But it turned out it was just Seahawks fans.
