I never saw / heard this and I was 15 then.

Sounds a little like Jim Morrison/ Doors.

How far we have come with choreography since, re - backup dancers.

“Where the Action Is”

What ever became of Paul Revere and the Raiders?

Wow I had that record but I forgot about this song. It’s been decades since I’ve heard it. Thanks for the memories but now I feel really old :-)

He was a contemporary of the Doors from the L.A. scene. I don’t know how much they crossed paths (even the Turtles have their Doors connection).

Sean Bonniwell passed away a few years ago but he did do some revival concerts on the garage rock scene.

He also became born again and wrote a book about his life.

I remember the song, but don’t recall seeing the band.

The lead reminds me a bit of Lorenzo St. DuBois!

Everyone wears glove on one hand. Eight year old Michael Jackson takes notes.

I think the kids in the background are doing The Jerk and The Monkey. The singer does not have an easy voice to listen to. To perform a rambling, stomping sort of song as this one goes best if the singer has a strong voice with good range and projection. He sang as if he was holding back. Whereas with other balladeer shouters like Jim Morrison, the volume and variation of power made you listen. If this had been slowed down to about half the quickness, it would have been a better listen.

[Dick Clark’s “Where The Action Is”]... Thanks Ben...

I remember Dick Clark's little digs at a song he thought peculiar, like when he introduced the 'Trashmen's song 'Surfin Bird'. .....Eveeeeery Body knows about the bird..........Bird -bird - bird - bird....

I remember the Music Machine. In August and September, 1966, they had a prominent position on Boss Radio 93 KHJ’s playlist and were frequently on local television.
