LONDON — Fashion icon Kate Middleton won’t be having anymore wardrobe malfunctions if Queen Elizabeth has her way.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the queen has ordered the Duchess of Cambridge to wear lower hemlines during a 3½-week trip to Australia this spring.

The royal makeover won’t just focus on toning down Kate’s leggy style. The duchess also will wear more tiaras and statement jewelry “favored by the Queen and Queen Mother,” the Mail reported.

I don’t assume it. I studied it.

It was the Royal Family that first forged the ‘Special Relationship’. It’s took Obama five minutes to scuttle 60 plus years of hard work there.

You are assuming in the absence of the royals none of that would have happened. How can it not be an assumption. It’s like proving a negative.

The Queen is showing far too much leg! And so is Elizabeth II!

“My, but they do go all the way up! “

Unlike with some women, where the butt comes down halfway to meet them.

I’m saying that in the absence of CULTURAL LEADERSHIP, Europe would have collapsed. The Royal Family’s sole responsibility in their Constitutional Monarchy is just this.

Churchill was one of the ONLY people in Parliament that understood WWII to be a CULTURAL battle, and that France had surrendered PRIOR to Germany invading it.

Again, without the Royal Family - no Churchill. He was not a popular politician - at all - until Germany invaded Norway. Why do you think Chamberlain even had a chance to negotiate with Hitler in the first place?

AGAINST the advice of the Royal Family, Chamberlain was sent to try to make a deal. “Peace in our day.”

It’s not like the Brits came out of WWI psychically unscathed. When they started talking about ‘The War to End All Wars’, they meant it, given that in the history of European war, WWI was, well, shattering to all involved.

We had to kneel on the tennis court..

Our hems had to reach the ground and not bend too much..

Our head mistress considered us untidy if our hems were too long..

Our uniforms had to reach to the middle of the knee.

that ashfelt was uncomfortable to kneel on...

You are assuming what would have happened without the royals. That’s all I’m saying.

Have a good one!

I only saw 2 photos at the link. Both are great photos. Especially the one in the yellow dress, beautiful! Can’t the queen control the wind?

Anyone who follows this has seen a lot more of Kate than her legs. The cat is already out of the bag, so to speak.

Personally I could care less about the “Royals”, but I do like beautiful women and Kate being a public figure, with a figure, should continue to dress accordingly. “Elegant” comes to mind.

This is the best I could do for Elizabeth:

Not leggy pictures, but she was quite a looker then.

Back in *those days*....I had a PT job as a dining room hostess in a lovely restaurant....run by a Canadian woman who was a stickler for propriety.

She’d check hemlines. If you skirt rose up too high in the back, if you were reaching across the table to serve or set-up a service...she would have a fit.....and send tyou home.

After the nuns...she was about the most strict on such things. Her business, her rules.

I don’t think any of us suffered from having these rules applied ....today there would be a lawsuit so that our *feelings* wouldn’t be offended. LOL
