Some men get more attached than others but males have far less investment in having sex. They can sleep with multiple women every day and walk away. A man with zero attachment to a sex partner historically did not put himself at any risk.
IMO, if there is no pressure or force and the boy desires it, it’s not rape. Of course being threatened with grades, punishment, etc is rape.
A girl can become pregnant and have her life change completely from having sex once. Having an attachment to the wrong sex partner was always very costly and traumatic to women.

If you're old enough to get sent to the desert or the jungle with an M16/M4, you're old enough to play hot for teacher.
At 17, you're a grown man, and certainly not getting "taken advantage of" by a girl just a few years your senior.

I swear, there’s an epidemic of this behavior going on in the public schools. I’ve seen at least one of these stories posted every week over the last year or two. And almost all of them concern adult female teachers and underage male students.
Could it be that lib women are desperate for actual men, and that they can no longer find any among their breed?

My son is in his forties now, but when he was 17, I would have much preferred him having sex with a 23 year old teacher than a 16 or 17 year old classmate. (which is what usually happens)

But I can pretty much guarantee nobody was hurt or traumatized in this case.
Now, they're teachers in high school and can get the popular guys to like them.....they can finally compete.
Comparing female teachers to female cops is apples to oranges. Violent encounters with female cops is more prevalent because there are more female cops. Violent encounters are had with female cops because females cannot physically handle the same situations as their male counterparts.
When you're a woman giving 75 lbs and 5 inches to your opponent, it's more likely you're going for your gun......vice the male cop giving 10 lbs, and maybe 1" - training and speed would generally put the advantage back to the male cop. Or on the flip side, the male cop has a few inches and pounds on his opponent.

17 is still considered to be a minor in most parts of the country, yet my brother was a Marine at that age.

I’m in my sixties, and she’s just as much a kid as he is. If you consider the standard deviation regarding maturity, they were essentially the same age.
When I was these boy’s age, I would have F*#@ed a rock pile, if I thought it had a snake in it.
