Palin/Cruz or Cruz/Palin would crush that dream in a heartbeat.

I can’t believe that the GOPe is stupid/delusional/disconnected/misguided/out of touch/idiotic enough to try to run another Bush this generation. Instant. Disaster.
They’ll probably prove me wrong though.

Mitt Romney has a better chance at getting the 2016 nomination than Jeb Bush.
Actually, if Mitt jumps into the race, that scenario just might come to pass.
To: arthurus
I can definitely see that happening. We could stop it by unifying behind one and ONLY ONE conservative candidate.

Scott Walker is a much better “compromise” candidate. He is pro amnesty, which will play good with the establishment, and he is conservative on a lot of other things that will play well with the tea party. With a conservative house and senate, I don’t think an amnesty bill can get through, so it would nullify his establishment cred.

Damon Linker, author of this pronouncement.
(P.S. I've never heard of him).

Guaranteed loser. That’s what the GOPe wants. In a 2-party system, there is no less job security in being the second party as there is in being the leading party. It’s a very simple calculation.
Harlem Globetrotters <> Washington generals. Same scenario.

it would not matter if the ocean parted for Jeb to walk across
it would not matter if Jeb could turn water into wine
it would not matter if Jeb could turn salt water into bourbon
the Bush “brand” has been so tarnished by years of D party advertising and attacks,
it is still a loser.
fair or not.

If Jeb Bush is the GOP nominee in 2016, history will be made. The first time since FDR/HST and I think, the second time since the Republican party was formed, the Democrats will win three presidential elections in a row.
As I have said for a long time now, I do not think I will not see another Republican President in my lifetime.
