Per Fox News
Racists!!!!
Does the race card trump a guilty verdict?
Can somebody tell me quickly who Frank Fadella is?
HOLY CARP!
12:56 p.m.: Nagin will remain free on bond awaiting his sentence. He will have to submit to home monitoring.
It will be years before he sees the inside of a cell!
Criminal exposed. I bet he never does jail time.
Looking at the counts and considering the verdicts the jails are going to be over crowded.

NOT GUILTY count was for the $10,000 check to Nagin’s sons.
1 p.m.: Nagin remains in his chair as the courtroom clears. Prosecutors are all smiles.
Not guilty on One out of Twenty one charges. Guilty on the other twenty.
He’s gotta be wishing he got blown away with Katrina right about now.

I’d be willin’ to bet money you won’t see Jenkins in any Federal cases any time soon...

When I saw Nagin had hired Jenkins to represent him, I knew he was in deep trouble...

Did he fall on this sword to protect his sons from going to jail? Feds got Edwards’ son, why not here too?

If St. Pierre got 17 years, I bet Nagin gets close to or even more than that.
It depends on how he is sentenced, whether they run concurrently or sequentially, of a combination thereof. Concurrent sentences mean that to get out, he has to reverse all his convictions, not just one. Federal truth in sentencing requires him to pull 85% of the time. My guess, he gets all his sentences concurrently, and spends $8 bucks fifty (8 1/2 years) in Club Fed.
Hope Obozo is impeached before that
Another option to the corrupt feds: Free while appeal is pending, reversed on appeal. Another, but less likely, is the trial court judge will substitute her verdict for that of the jury, on the basis that the evidence was insufficient.
The charges he was convicted on carried from three to twenty years each.
It will be interesting to see how the penalties are assessed. I”m not
sure what the federal guidelines are regarding the application of sentences.
