They are the sisters of an Iowa State Representative. I am (mildly) shocked this is not getting more coverage. It is sad how the authorities are telling people in the area to be careful, yet they aren't really telling them who to look out for.

These were nice ladies. One of them was a prominent pediatrician at one of Pittsburgh's better hospitals. The brutality of the crime and attempted cover-up is shocking.
They showed a grainy video of the suspect on the news last night, so we have a better idea of what to look for than we did before.
This PC walking on eggshell crap has GOT to stop. They need to find the perp and hang him high.

I wish the media would quit referring to the neighborhood as “safe.” There are no safe neighborhoods in Pittsburgh.

When he is caught, we will hear about what a nice guy he is and that he “was just turning his life around.”

And yet there are those who insist that abortion is wonderful and the death penalty is barbaric.

Mary Wolfe's on words from her official website/blog:
Im a member of the Democratic minority in the IA House (40-60
good times); Im the ranking member on our House Judiciary committee and also serve on Human Resources, Transportation, Public Safety, and the Justice Systems Budget Subcommittee. I am a big believer in social justice and smarter sentencing and President Obama (no, hes not perfect, but hello, the ACA, pretty darn impressive). I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the people of my district, and I look appreciate any feedback/comments/ suggestions that you care to share on the bills and issues I discuss in my posts.

Actually, Chislett Street is in a neighborhood called Highland Park. At one time, Highland Park was considered a toney neighborhood. Those big old houses were mansions for the wealthy. But that neighborhood is no longer upper crust and hasn’t been for a good 30 or more years. The well-to-do either died off or moved away. Many of the big houses were subdivided into apartments and are now inhabited by riff-raff from the “real” East Liberty.
The media is living in the past.

Yes, the media will dutifully trot out family, friends, his minister, his high school football coach, you name it. And people will go, “awwww, poor guy,” and forget all about the victims. These will be the jurors too.

Pittsburgh actually has a very low crime rate, particularly when compared to Houston, Dallas, or Tampa, let alone Philly.

...I hope they find the perp, though its way too late. I heard yesterday, that Obama plans to release the ones they've already got from prison, it being racist and all.
