OK, seriously you guys? Where do you think your meat comes from? Beef trees? Pork Stalks? Lamb Orchards? Why there so many freepers on here sounding like PETA moonbats anthropomorphising animals? Or at least the cute, fluffy ones like giraffes instead of boring ol’ livestock, which die in pretty much the same manner, except they get to watch the animals before them die before its their turn amongst a host of other horrors they would have to endure in your average commercial abbatoir...
Agree 100%. It's a zoo, they occasionally have to many animals, they euthanize some of them. Probably been going on forever. Giraffes are not an endangered species and zoos have successful breeding programs.
I must agree. I'm a crazy cat lady / animal lover, but a lot of people need to step back and gain some perspective. These giraffes are not being mistreated, tortured, or killed for some sort of sick sadistic thrill. And their deaths result in food for other animals, as nature intended.
we make distinctions between food animals and those not for food.
we can do that, we have that right.
my comments stand. has nothing to do with peta. there’s no pressing need to euthanize the giraffe. this whole disposable everything mentality, get rid of it if i get bored with it or don’t want to care for it anymore crap just gets old.
