The onslaught on Wintry Weather continues this morning. Snow is piling up fast across the Delaware Valley as our monster Nor’easter climbs up the Eastern seaboard.

And with the snowfall in the city of Philadelphia Thursday, a 130-year-old record was shattered. For the first time in the city’s history, there have been four 6+ inch snowfalls or more in season. In addition, we are now in the top 5 snowiest winters of all-time.

The storm has a history of producing historic snowfall and ice accumulations across the Southern United States and now it is blasting our region with blinding snow, heavy sleet, flooding rain and wicked winds.

Are there scientific reports that show that this cannot necessarily be blamed on climate change? The biggest climate change alarmists have argued that increasingly harsh and frigid winters is actually a symptom of man made climate change and I was wondering if this has been disproven and if so, where.

Oh, it’s a given that this was caused by AGW/CC!

You can't prove a negative and neither can science.

Climate science consists of models, and a model can show anything you want.

Since Philadelphia is run by the inmates, they don’t plow snow, so it doesn’t really matter. There are four lane highways in Philly that have not seen a plow this year. I think the rule is, if the buses can get through, they don’t plow. Very few Philadelphian voters use cars.

The biggest effect man has had on the environment in the last 50 years is a clearing of the air from burning less coal more cleanly. This causes more heat to hit the Earth during the day and during the summer, and more heat to leave the Earth during the night and during the winter. The result is more extreme weather. The mid latitudes are getting alternately hit with moist and cold fronts, which is the recipe for ugly winter weather.

Shoveled ~83 cubic yards of the stuff yesterday so we could get down the drive if need be,
which came down close on the heels of an only slightly lesser amount a few days ago,
all of which has preceeded the 4" and rising that's dumping on us presently.

Frankly, it's getting rather tedious.

Beautiful to look at. That’s about it. I’m a block from the beach in Juno Beach. If I moved back home it would take 2 years for my blood to thicken back up.

I cut/pasted that blurb to your Bastardi thread.

Sometimes wish my ol' bod would tolerate the heat well enough to head south .. tho a couple more years might do the trick .. lol !

It doesn't matter. The warmists assured us that the next generation wouldn't even know what snow is. Now they wish to claim that there is plenty of snow predicted by their models due to "climate change". The models are provably garbage since they have no ability to predict ANYTHING.

You don't have to provide scientific proof that non-scientific ideas are not science. The lack of predictive power is sufficient.
