Santa Clara University will be hosting a Rainbow Prom this Friday with a pro-same-sex marriage theme, according to the Universitys website.
SCUs Rainbow Resource Center states the event titled Say I Do to Marriage Equality, is sponsored by the student groups GASPED (Gay and Straight People for the Education of Diversity) and the Santa Clara Community Action Program (SCCAP). The Universitys website urges students to bring your partner and/or friendsall are welcome!
The event was created in 2010 after a high school student was not allowed to attend a prom with a same-sex date. The Santa Clara Community Action Program website describes it as the hottest, freshest, most inclusive party of the year!
This year's theme is weddings! Say I do to Marriage Equality, the group states. Put on your fancy pants, your dancing shoes, ask that special someone to be your date, and maybe you'll be the one to catch the bouquet! wink
The event is exclusively for students of the Jesuit University.
Santa Claras Activities Programming Board (APB) advertised a speed dating event on Tuesday night on its Facebook site by urging students to use the event to find yourself a date for Rainbow Prom or for Valentine's Day!
Just send our contributions to other more deserving colleges and charities. We are not going to subsidize anti-Christian universities or organizations
Hes definitely in violation of the Tenth Commandment with his wealth redistribution naivety, which, by extension, leads to breakdowns about bearing false witness (9) in conjunction with the admonition not to steal (8).
Yes sir, the Popes on a tear. Which will be next?
And since these universities have no fealty to the Pope, and the Pope has no control over Catholic universities, what is the point of Catholicism in this regard anyway?
Could they first take down the name Catholic from their Name!!
Name only. Like I said ... These so called catholic universities stopped being catholic long ago.
Did you know that Texas A&M produces more priests each year than does Notre Dame?
Harris believes the resources exist to pull together accurate financial data if the church gets its act together: "This is not an impoverished organization," he says.
And this is just the U.S....There is so much money from power donors and profits from Catholic healthcare along with billions allocated from politicians to these Catholic organizations, I doubt that a pope would be allowed to throw a wrench into the gears of the money machine...
I'd say the popes are just letterheads to take the public eyes of the real money machine of the Catholic religion...

Why doesn’t the Catholic church do something about this? Can’t they at least make them yank the “Catholic” from their description?
Sadly, A&M is going Lib too with their ‘new’ Profs :/
"A film that finally puts the pieces of the puzzle together. If you've wondered why America has been falling apart from within, you will love AGENDA. Please share with everyone you can and order a few copies to give to pastors, representatives, and conservative leaders. America needs to see this film!"
Oh.. one more thing.... I had taken a screencap from the vid to make those 2 pics.. On the website it said no part can be copied **copyright laws**... I sent an email telling them that I HAD to take the screencaps in order to get the message out... Have had no issues with them, so I guess they saw no problem with it.
Thank you. I will.
I truly pray that they are priests who will stand up to the kind of schlock this latest Pope is dispensing. For only thereby and in them, with God’s help, will the Church survive the 21st century.
Yes but the profs have nothing to do with the Catholic Church in College Station and the way the Church reaches out to the students.
Upon further review:
(from the college site’s FAQ section):
Q. Is the University owned by the Catholic Church?
A. The University is chartered by the State of California as a public trust, and governed by a board of trustees. Neither the Catholic Church nor the Society of Jesus owns the University, but the inspiration for the University is its Catholic and Jesuit heritage.
