CFL’s suck donkey manure... THey are a waste of time and money, can’t speak for LED’s but given I could buy incandescent bulbs for about .25 to .50 each I am going to have a hard time being convinced any $10 or more light bulb is worth a damn
When our U.S. Congress gets away with telling us what kind of toilets we have to use and now lightbulbs, it’s time for a revolution...........
We have 3 CFLs in a ceiling fixture. They’ve been there quite awhile now( afew years at least) & I’ve yet to replace them. The only real problem I see is that they take a few moments to give out proper light. Can’t say if they help the electric bill or not, because it’s hard to tell when the rates keep rising.
I’ve spent close to $1,000 on LED Christmas lights over the past few years. Best investment I ever made. I run thousands of lights and used to replace dozens of them at a time each season. To date, not a single LED lamp has ever blown. When I took them out of the attic this past Christmas, every single one of my some 5,000 LED bulbs lit up. They also use far less the electricity of the incandescent lights. I can string something like 30 150-light strands together without even putting a strain on the circuit.
I gotta say, I will not be using LED Xmas lights any time soon, since I don't celebrate that holiday, but I'm glad you saved so much.
