Homosexual activists have slammed him as an ‘outrageous bigot,’ but Toronto District School Board trustee Sam Sotiropoulos says that he’s just concerned about children viewing illegal public nudity at the city’s annual Pride parade.
Sotiropoulos created a firestorm on Twitter last week after he tweeted the Toronto Police force asking if it would enforce Canadian law against public nudity.
“As #TDSB participation raises questions of age-appropriateness, do you enforce Canada's public nudity laws at Pride?” he asked.
Sotiropoulos, who says he has nothing against “LGBTQ” people and says he would attend the Pride parade if invited, was immediately accused on twitter of insulting and hating gays and was labeled “homophobic.”
Under Canada’s Criminal Code it is illegal to be nude in a “public place.” Section 174 states that a person who is “so clad as to offend against public decency or order” is “guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.”
Sotiropoulos says that city officials have a double standard when it comes to nudity at the Pride parade.
Sotiropoulos said as a TDSB trustee, he has no problem with the board promoting the Pride parade. He agrees with the “very nature of the parade,” saying that the TDSB having a float in the parade is “part of our social justice piece.”
Sotiropoulos said that he does not understand “how being naked [in public] is part of being gay. I get stuck on that question. Why is that a necessary element to parade naked in the streets of Toronto to express what? I’m not sure, except for the flouting of the laws of this country.”

Waggle your genitals at a child and the community will recoil in horror, and you’ll be lucky if all you end up with is probation and a lifelong sex-offender label....UNLESS you are a participant in a gay pride parade. In that case no one is permitted to object under pain of being called “homophobic”.

Seriously? It is because they are friggin ABNORMAL! Normal people gay or otherwise do not behave in this manner. I don't care if it is one of those hedonism festivals or gay pride parades, these are sick individuals and should be locked up and prosecuted.
This is no different than someone crying *racism* if someone objected to nudity in a parade.

I did not have any choice but to watch it either, since the parade route always disrupted traffic near the convention center (and blocked access to the various hotels I stayed at while attending a very well known annual computer related convention for work).
What shocked me more than the guys walking around with nothing on but chaps, or the floats of bare breasted lesbians with their nipples chained to one another (all of this going on at about 2pm by the way) was the cops just standing there next to idiotic parents with children, seeming to enjoy the disgusting spectacle.

No, Muslims will never replace the GLBT community at the top of the victim class hierarchy. No group will in the near future. That is why the love affair between jihadist groups and many leftists is actually beginning to fade, particularly as jihadists, realizing they will never be at the top of the victim class hierarchy, are turning on leftists. Maybe if he announced he was bi curious and then they might have given him some slack on it.
I work in I.T., and like it or not SF is still the center of that industry's universe.
IF Tranna Metro Council was full of righteous men and women they would say, ‘OK, you can have your homoparade, but you have it in February!’ How brave would the homosexuals be parading around nude in freezing weather? They could have their perv-parade, but kids would not have to see the freak nudity. Problem solved!
Alas, Tranna Metro Council in general, stands to the left of Saul Alinski, so such a suggestion would never arise.

Family-friendly events do not include nudity.
“Pride” parades do include nudity, a lot of nudity.
By their very definitions, there is no such thing as a family-freindly “pride” parade.
When the Two Witnesses start their ministry, they ARE going to call down fire from heaven and burn people up!
Do you ever have discussions with tech workers in San Francisco after you have found they are homosexual? And in settings outside of the gay pride parades? And if so, do any of them, politically and socially, care about anything other than same sex marriage and adoption or not really?

The question that must be asked, but will never be answered due to it being too politically-incorrect, is how many registered sex offenders are in that crowd?
“PRIDE” isn’t about equality or following the same laws as everyone else, it’s about special treatment. Of course they will not follow the laws, and the far left will pretend that asking gays to control their behavior is bigotry.
