Another one? This is getting out of hand.

Really? Not to seem TOO cynical, but 'another one' out of how many thousands and thousands and thousands of bankers around the world?

It is hard to visualize what the stress level is right now in the private sector.
I know a manager at Intel who did all his yearly reviews, signed off the paperwork then killed himself.
Don’t fall into the trap that this is a good thing.
It is a sign of the times and it could get much much worse.

Are these fellows killing themselves because they are losing everything or have they become inconvenient to others?

Finance workers are 1.51 times more likely to commit suicide than average. Slightly ahead of chiropractors, but behind veternarians, doctors and dentists.

Suicides like this get more publicity due being “spectacular”———
“Hey, it’s raining bankers!”

What would be more informative is if there is an upward rise in total compared to historical average.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Of course, there is the possibility a voyager like Li may have had some assistance on his final flight.

Want to know how to know this means something? Just count how many posters are saying it doesn’t mean anything. Do they do that for every suicide demographic? Nope. Only bankers. All of a sudden it’s really important that you know this means nothing at all.

Rightyo!

Remember the other day, the guy who shot himself 8 times with a nail gun?

Statistically insignificant. Out of the billions of people on this earth someone was bound to do that eventually. Even in the same week all the other guys were jumping off tall buildings.

How many bankers does it take to stop the rumours about our lack of gold bullion. The truth must be worse than we know.

what is strange is that they all seem to be jumping to their deaths...

most men who commit suicide use guns, or take overdoses. Why all the jumping? Copy cat? Or someone pushing them (something that can be checked by forensics).
