Do you have a local ballet company? My son took classes at the Louisville Ballet and did many ballets there as a child. My daughter went to the Youth Performing Arts school here, and was able to get a scholarship for college. Good luck to your granddaughter.
They live in Austin TX, I live in Chico Ca, but the audition was to be accepted by the Dancer at Rise Dance Company, in Round Rock, Texas and she was accepted.
My only knowledge of ballet comes from NYC or a tiny ballet company here in NJ. I could talk to my neighbor about it - he works in a local ballet company. But she may very well have good connections where she lives.
