Busch wins at Daytona: #51-Kyle Busch edged out #17-Timothy Peters at the finish line to win the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway. #98-Johnny Sauter was third. #32-Ryan Truex, #30-Ron Hornaday, Jr., #29-Ryan Blaney, #13-Jeb Burton, #8-Joe Nemecheck, #08-Jimmy Weller, and #77-German Quiroga close out the top-10 finishers. Daytona Race Fast Facts:
Kyle Busch(i) won the 15th Annual NextEra Energy Resources 250, his 36th victory in 116 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.
This is his first victory and fifth top-10 finish in six races at Daytona International Speedway.
Timothy Peters (second) posted his fourth top-10 finish in seven races at Daytona International Speedway. It is his first top-10 finish in 2014.
Johnny Sauter (third) posted his second top-10 finish in six races at Daytona International Speedway. Tyler Reddick (12th) was the highest finishing rookie.
Timothy Peters leads the point standings by 2 points over Johnny Sauter.
The margin of victory (0.017) in tonight’s race is the eighth closest finish all-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and the closet in series history at Daytona International Speedway
