I started following Camille Paglia when I found out she hates Hillary Clinton.

'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' kinda thing.

Camille Paglia doesn’t forget where she came from, as so many do.

How do you think the wussy word “Man Cave” entered the vernacular?

When I grew up, it was simply known as “the den”.

Putting the word “Man” in front of it surrenders all of the rest of the territory. “Cave” also implies regressive neanderthal mentality.

Our society is neutering boys of their maleness at a young age ...

Not my grandson! If he has anything to say about it. It's a strange thing. It's almost like he knows what he's up against. 3 going on 4.

We all watch the same TV shows, talk like women and misbehave like little boys... isn’t that appealing?

“we”

OK, some validity to this, but don’t forget that men don’t actually require permission to be men. That’s kinda the point. It helps if they’re taught properly, but I think a lot of it is, or should be, instinctive. And the response to someone who doesn’t think you should be masculine is ignoring them or “F You” depending on the situation.

This country is a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

At least, it used to be a constitutional republic. Now we’re on the fast track to Communism.

First they castrate American manhood, then complain that no one any longer has any balls.

America’s liberated women in a nutshell.

I guess if women like this really got their way, if they ever felt like getting pregnant, all they need to do is ask permission from the government first to do so...

You know, it’ll turn into a visit to the local pregnancy office staffed by the cast offs of the DMV, Walmart greeters and TSA rejects...You go there, fill out a form, take a number, wait 4-6 hours, get an interview, be told of ALL the options to NOT get pregnant, and then...

Be able to choose from a library of questionable pictures and bio’s of some “hunka-sauruses” that they’ll tell you have made “deposits” at there facility...

Then a HHS certified “doctor” will artificially inseminate you and BOOM!!! you’ll be pregnant...

At which point, you will be asked per the deals in your “Pregnancy Package” deal for your scheduled oil changes, gender determination benchmark, hair color, intelligence, genetic attributes...

And if somehow there is a problem with the “fetus”, as part of this “deal” you will be urged to abort this “thing” and be given a discounted rate on a “re-insemination” clause in the contract....

Whatever happened to the good ole days where two people fell in love, actually got married, did the “wild thang” and created life in the traditional manner???

No wonder there has to be a low, overall sperm count in this country...There are not enough of us real men with cajones to sustain the genetic toughness that was once a dominant feature of the male gender in this country until recently...

Sorry if I went a little off the beaten path this morning, but I just feel this is yet one more thing that is proven how far gone, and destructive to its very existence, this country has taken its course...

I think what Paglia is saying is men need a ‘right of passage’ to know they have become men. For many men, military experience serves that purpose.

Electing men who have not had any military experience or some other life altering event which makes them become men, is to allow men who do not know who or what they are to govern. And so we get weeping politicians whose words and actions are not much more that the whimsical actions of a young boy ... and so are malleable by whatever the latest fashion, political view point, or zeitgeist which comes along.

I guessed it was Paglia from the title. I don’t always agree with her, but she’s a fun read and at least intellectually honest, especially compared to the general standard of the left in general and feminists in particular.

I have lamented the emasculation of men for years. Used to be a Feminist. Woke up. Now I fight everything they want, at every turn. They are integral in the destruction of our once great country.

I’d throw my coat across a puddle to help Miss Paglia cross the street. It’s a pity that no gentleman ever won her heart and hand and that they didn’t raise many children. May God bless her.

"Used to be a Feminist. Woke up. Now I fight everything they want, at every turn."

Originalbuckeye, I tried to respond to your post but I kept getting kicked back to the top of the thread. Sorry, 2ndDV.

I have a friend who is a lifelong conservative and an evangelical Christian, married with 3 kids. Recently she went on a rant against sexism and men who treat women "like possessions". Said she has a problem with the Bible's language concerning women, and that she has decided she is a "conservative feminist."

I don't know where any of that stuff came from. But it started to get personal when she said that it's fine for me to think my husband is head of the house, but she and her husband love & respect each other too much for that.

We're still sort of tiptoeing around each other, like cats about to fight.

The author, who along with her ex-partner Alison Maddex, is raising an 11-year-old son Lucian, believes that the way many schools have cut recess is ‘making a toxic environment for boys.’

‘Primary education does everything in its power to turn boys into neuters,’ she said.

The decline of America's industrial base is another factor that the author believes is leaving many men with ‘no models of manhood.'

Paglia is dead on with her assertions, but what she highlights is but one more manifestation of the baleful effects of Cultural Marxism upon nearly EVERY institution of our society and culture.
