A man high on LSD told police he was Jack Bauer from TV series 24 after breaking into a couples home and stuffing their credit cards inside a chocolate muffin.
David Stolte, who has a history of mental health problems, believed he was the fictional counter-terrorism agent from the Fox series when he committed the act, according to police in Seattle.
The 30-year-old trashed the home of neighbour Derek Doerschel and his fiancee Danielle Green, leaving food strewn across their kitchen, according to kirotv.com.
The couple returned home to find a frozen crab balancing on a bike, cat litter in the sink and clothes in the bathtub.
The crab from the freezer was just sitting right here on the blanket on the bike, explained Mr Doerschel.
The homeowner phoned police after spotting the suspect crouched in an alleyway close to their apartment. Mr Stolte was arrested and charged with residential burglary.
Its progressively [the illness] getting worse, his mother, Ria Quinton said.
I know he would never hurt anyone else, she added. He is capable of damaging property.
I thought Jack Ryan was allergic to crab.
Wrong Jack.
How are these acts more irrational than the average liberal?
They realized it wasn’t really Jack Bauer when no one was found with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
TELL ME WHERE THE BOMB IS!!!!!
I miss 24. That was the best thing on TV when it was.
LOL!
Yell louder and he’ll tell you.
It’s coming back in May.
Ironically it turns out that the couple’s dog was trained by the FSB to infiltrate their home and pretend to be a normal pet. Before running away it killed the parakeet and hid its body behind a heat register. But it was unrelated to the neighbor who is just a kook.
Jack Bauer will be back, baby: EW has confirmed that Fox will bring back its long-running hit 24 next May.
The network will air 12 episodes of 24: Live Another Day as part of its new directive to air event programming in the summer as a way to tie together the regular seasons. A miniseries from M. Night Shyamalan called Wayward Pines will air after the run of 24, which will (naturally) feature the return of Kiefer Sutherland.

“When I’m finished with you, you’re gonna wish that you felt this good again.” - Jack Bauer
LOL
It’s an actual line from 24, that he often yells....
LOL! I’ve started to watch Season 2 on Amazon Prime and it’s the season where the bomb goes off in L.A. So I’ll be hearing plenty of that yelling in a few episodes.
