Remember that video of the plane crash in Hawaii after which Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy "died"?
You need to take a closer look.
If there was any sense to the whole issue, then I would guess that ‘diver’ is one of the rescue crew, he’s landed beside Yamamoto and Fuddy, found her unresponsive, found that Yamamoto was not in any difficulties and then moved on, to check on the others.
That should have been “Mae West!”

No matter what you conjecture it is, the story doesn’t fit. The scenario is all wrong.
Neither of the two images I circled match the clothing used by either the MCFD rescue team or the USCG rescue team.
And the earliest of the rescuers arrived after the plane had sunk. These images were taken long before that.

Just making suggestions, that video isn’t intact and pristine, it’s been edited. Can anyone say for certain that Puentes wasn’t still filming as the first rescuer landed?
That is of major significance, can you post the circled images here, so that they can be compared to the object in the water?
It's possible that harness is standard rescue equipment? Certainly not conclusive, but we've seen nothing that I know of, showing the rescue people in the water, have we?
If that was her, the day of the flight, that is DEFINITELY THOSE DARK PANTS!

Not sure, Fred. I’m no expert. Do what I did and look at pic 19. It seems much much easier to make sense of the photos if you go backwards. In 19, it seems clear to me that those are her two feet in the sides of the foreground, with the camera pointing between her emerging feet.
I didn’t see what you thought about what I saw. If you go backwards from pic 19, can you see her feet? Does that make the diver image disappear for you, as you go backwards through those pics? And then I saw she was wearing dark looks like poly / stretchy style pants, which really does point to the shiny black being her own lower body. What do you think?

The only problem with that scenario is that Loretta Fuddy had a very public viewing with hundreds of mourners passing by her open casket, followed by a very public funeral attended also by hundreds of mourners including her family. The Governor of Hawaii, who personally knew Fuddy, spoke at her funeral.
Loretta Fuddy is dead.
You could be right...so there's neither a rescuer there with a harness, or a diver wearing goggles, just Fuddy with her legs bobbing up and down...with the waves...and she's still got shoes or socks on her feet.
