South Africas retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu on Sunday made an impassioned plea to Ugandas President Yoweri Museveni not to sign into law a harsh Anti-Homosexuality Bill that calls for a life sentence for some same-sex relations.
Tutu, a Nobel peace prize winner, said in a statement that Museveni a month ago had pledged not to allow the anti-gay legislation to become law in Uganda. But last week Museveni said he had reconsidered and would consult scientists on whether homosexuality is determined by genetics or by a persons choice.
Tutu said he is disheartened by Musevenis new position because there is no scientific basis or genetic rationale for love
There is no scientific justification for prejudice and discrimination, ever.

Tutu is a clown. Nobody in their right mind would listen to this God-hating freak.
Would Tutu get away with this heresy if he wasn’t retired?
As an Anglican, easily.
no scientific basis or genetic rationale for love”
Shouldn’t that alone discredit it? If there is no genetic or scientific reason for these people to cohabit, why should we not be disgusted because they do so?
“Originally the bill called for the death penalty for some homosexual acts but the maximum penalty was changed to life imprisonment for repeat offenders. The penalty for first time offenders is 14 years in jail.”
The bill has not even been signed into law and it has already been liberalized to the point where the death penalty has been removed and now offenders would only serve 14 years in a Ugandan prison.
One would believe the Tutu would be happy with this compromise and it shows how quickly lawmakers around the world are compromising on the gay issue.
Never mind retired, I thought this treacherous ass clown was dead or eaten by a crocodile..
Why can’t the homosexual activists worry about true oppression? No, we have to allow them to marry and adopt kids, but can’t impose on their “culture”.
Yeah...my first response was....Hmmm...TuTu is STILL alive?
The speak French quite well in Uganda, so therefore they know what a tutu is.
Gong!
Now you know why I’m not an Anglican anymore. :)
But seriously, when a gay bishop was ordained here in the US, I suggested that the Church should replace the ultra-liberal Archbishop of Canterbury with the Archbishop of Kampala. Now I’m thinking that if the Ugandans really took over, Tutu would be against it.
